You also cannot use a external battery pack to power it because as soon an you turn it on, a blue screen comes up and it says MSDC and then shuts off. This is not because of the memory card being too large because I am using a 32gb memory card. The pictures and videos look pretty good, it has 2 night vision settings and 1 daytime. 1-3x zoom, but the 1x making things look bigger than if you look at them with your naked eye, almost like a 2x from the start.
