The fit of the paddle to your hand and your swing and the fit of the paddle to your play style both need to match. Everyone is different and every play style is different. No one paddle is going to cover everyone and every play style. The \"best\" paddle out there might not be best for you.\n\nThe fit of the paddle to your hand, the grip circumference, grip length, swing weight, the length and width of the paddle face, all of these need to fit the player. You need a paddle that feels good when you grip it and when you swing it.\n\nWhat is your play style? Do you like playing soft and accurate at the kitchen line or do you love popping line drivers from the base line? Are you a spin master or do you like a fast hard punch at the line?\n\nWith all of these things in mind I can say the CRBN 3X 14 mm power paddle is an excellent fit for me, my hands, and my present play style.\n\nI have slightly bigger hands so I like a long grip. Flip side is I wear a glove, which takes up space in my grip so I like a smaller circumference. This paddle fits comfortably in my hand while wearing a glove. The handle is nice and long so I don't feel choked up or feel like I'm gripping the end of the handle. The circumference is a great fit for me while wearing a glove. It might feel a little small without a glove but with a glove it is a good fit for my hands. You need to hold the paddle to see if it is a good fit for you.\n\nThe CRBN 3X 14 mm is a \"power paddle\". Which means it should have a \"poppier\" response. Balls should pop off of the paddle surface. I own a dozen paddles and for me the CRBN 3X 14 mm is a very poppy paddle. I am enjoying playing a long game and I can stay near the baseline and drive shots baseline to baseline no problem. Also my backhand, never as strong as my forehand, clears the net consistently from the baseline. A backhand slap with this paddle from the baseline can easily clear the net and get deep in the receiving court.\n\nMy serves are faster and deeper with this paddle. You consistently get a fast line drive with this paddle.\n\nFor a long game, fast with lots of line drives, this paddle is by far my favorite.\n\nWhat about spin and control? I'm not a spin master, I don't fold myself sideways on every shot contorting the paddle to get as much wrap around spin as humanly possible. But for me I can say the surface of the CRBN is one of the grippiest of all my paddles and actually does impart a noticeable additional spin and control when trying to put a little extra forward spin on a drive or a bit of side spin on a roll over the net. For me the grip of the paddle surface is excellent.\n\nLast, what about control at the kitchen line? If there were any downsides to the this paddle this might be it. Soft control at the kitchen line. For me this is a fast paddle. Balls come off of this paddle with a pop. You can stand at the kitchen line and snap the ball at your opponents feet, a quick pop and a bounce, that part is great. But if you're a shot placer from the kitchen line, putting each ball in the exact spot you want it, this paddle might not be the best fit. Balls come off the paddle fast and if you aren't pointing at exactly where you want the ball to go you might find the ball zinging off to parts unknown.\n\nAll said I am really enjoying this paddle. It's my go to first choice. I play multiple hours a day every day and so far the paddle has held up well.
