Very comfortable, and true to size. Although these seem to be slated as a work shoe, I wear them as a casual black shoe. These are visually similar to the Austin, which I also have in brown. These seem to be heavier duty, which I like. I liked how the PTC looked so I did not complain about it. When I get new shoe I usually have to buy a thicker foam insoles. I had to do that with this pair of shoes as well. I like how well I can walk all day in these shoes. Usually I buy hard toe shoes, but I am experimenting with the bumper toe. I already slammed my toes into a cart wheel, the bumper toe protected my toes, no pain . I am a nurse, moving fast,making turns. However, they fall short in many areas. They break down quickly. This is my third pair of these shoes. The leather is subpar. It starts to curl and bubble up after a week of wear. Don't expect them to last over a year if you're wearing them for restaurant work. This is from wearing these shoes 5 days a week. And that is FOH, If you're BOH I'd give them six months. (Transmission mechanic). The oil resistant does have a more open tread pattern so they won't collect the oil and dirt and cake up with it. However, these are not what I would call comfortable. The leather on the upper is very stiff and hard on your feet, the insoles are kind of hard. They are getting better as I break them in, but still not great.
