I did cut a plastic lid to cover the velcro to be able to put it on a bag, shove the end of the molle in, then pull the plastic strip out, so the velcro can grab, otherwise it gets stuck as you push it in.. It's a weird choice they made for sure, but once you get it, it's perfect. Also that center section? A bladetech tek-lok fits PERFECTLY in the center notch! That makes the bag infinitely more useful and easy to attach to your belt, outside of your bag on any strap, loop,etc, but small enough that you can leave it on if you stuff the bag into a larger backpack/sling/etc without getting in the way. I have both of mine setup that way\n\nI use mine inside my lv10 sling edc most of the time, where it has a mint-tin firstaid kit along with alcohol bzk and sting-kill as well as individual dudewipes and duke wipe, personal hygiene in a pouch in the center with:(nailclipper,tweezers,nailfile), eye drops, q-tip plastic case (that also holds toothpicks/flossers), disposable #11 scalpel, tube of superglue, and medicine capsule. And that isn't even stuffed! Plenty more room, and the multiple mounting loops, lanyards, notches, molle, etc.. \n\nI've since bought another for my other bag, and I give them as GIFTS. I _LOVE_ mine, quite possibly the best product 511 has made so far IMO.
