Terrible quality, appearance, durability, and overall product!!
I purchase 2 of these hats in hi-vis color for work. Also, 3 other guys on my crew purchased them as well. I work in a steel mill and we have to wear hi-vis lime or orange to be more visible. I’ve never had a problem with anything from carhartt! I only wear carhartt because my grandfather, father, and 3 brothers swear by it!! It’s literally like a family tradition for us to wear carhartt! This is the first time I’ve received a carhartt item that was definitely not up to the high standards of the carhartt brand. Like, I said I purchased 2 of these winter hats with visors on them to wear at work. One of the hats is perfect no issues what so ever. The second one for some reason has multiple issues. After wearing it just 1 time for a 12 hour shift the hat was so stretched out that it was falling down over my eyes . I took it home and washed it like I do with all my carhartt hats and they normally shrink up alittle it back to original size. This hat did not!! It stretched out even more and when I put it on it literally came down over my nose. Also, after washing it the hi-vis started to look dull and faded . It’s like the fibers in the hat have a defect of some sort. I look online of different ways to try and shrink it and nothing worked. The quality of the hat is just lacking the carhartt quality that I’m use too. This hat is so stretched out that I can put my hardhat on and the carhartt hat will fit over it with no problem! The hat just keep stretching and getting more and more deformed. What was more shocking to me was the other 3 guys that bought them had the same issue with their hi-vis hats as well. I know this was a long rant but I’ve never had a problem with carhartt gear . Maybe it was just a bad Bach of material. I will continue to wear carhartt because it is the best brand and it’s a family staple for us. I just want to let carhartt know how disappointing it was for me and the other guys this time.
Not a big fan. Love the brand and everything carhartt stand for but the fitment/stitching ect. on both the hats I bought are totally different, one fits better than the other but both are a terrible fitting and looking (worn) hat.
I did receive a Carhartt brimmed beannie. However, the style was not as advertised. It had a different logo on the front, and a more modern style. The pictures are apparently from an old style. If you check the Carhartt website you'll see what I mean. The hat is well built and appears it will be very warm.
Well, I went by color pictured online and ordered the one that looked like Carhartt Brown (Umber). Upon receiving it and opening the package the hat was really an ugly dark orange color -- umber -- not Carhartt Brown, like it looks online. Shipping costs will likely not be worth returning it...
I have had lots of other knit hats in the pass, but this one is the best. the visor helps keep the hat in place when Im working as well as keeps my hood from falling over my eyes. super warm over ears and back of the neck. this hat is a home-run Carhatt.
This Knit Hat is GREAT. Very comfortable, warm, and flexibility in adjustment in however you want to wear it. Full coverage of ears and most of the neck if you desire, can adjust to any fit you want. Looks great, wear it whenever I have outdoor activities. Every time I buy some, I end up giving them away to other people who want it and have to buy more. Thanks Carhartt.
Love this hat. Me and my two boys all wear one. It's nearly perfect. PLEASE, please, please make this hat in a warmer version. Thinsulate (like the other style hat) or perhaps in Merino wool. The original version is great most of the time but there are times in Wisconsin that call for a warmer hat.
I love this hat. The only complaint is that when I wash it it stretches out. Also I feel this hat shouldn't only be under the men section. It would be nice if it can be in pink color also. The cap affect helps keep the sun from my eyes and I never have a cold head wearing this hat.
This is basically the regular watch hat with a very small visor sewn in. I mean very small. I'm not really sure what its purpose is, being so short. It won't block the sun. All I can think of is that it's too keep the hat from creeping down onto your face. It's still a good hat, just not sure about the visor. It's fairly warm. It's also adjustable by moving the cuff up or down
