Features that are deal breakers like load lifters and torso adjustments are there. Detail features like sway straps for belt/pack connection are too. While shed hunting/scouting this weekend I was pulling my GPS in and out of the hip pouch, the structure allowed the zipper to stay open and the unit was secure enough. Trial hikes with 20+ pounds seemed very comfortable and stable. I also like the new way to adjust the length by the notch and the inside mess pockets. So naturally, I set it up right away, started to load it for daily use for guiding, and got fully adjusted for my use. Everything fit very nicely. The fact that the side pouches are now removable helped a lot to strap the handgun on much tighter than before, so great job! But I would still like a wider strap there. Also, now that the side pouches are removable, it makes it much easier for me to sew cartridge loops in the pouches. I also believe the new design allows more airflow for my back.
