I have carried many EDC knives over the years and the Mini Freek (Carbon Fiber) is one of the best I have carried. The Carbon Fiber, blade drop-point and S90v material is a great match for most everyday jobs. I can get it shaving sharp (using diamond stones) and it retrain its sharpness for a long while. I feel of the jimping and handle thumb curves makes the extra cost worth it for a solid hand placement and workability of the knife. \nWhile I do like the Osborne point/tip for some piercing/technical jobs, the Freek's belly and cutting-edge work better for the everyday slicing tasks in my option. \nThe picture is of the Mini Freek carbon fiber compared to the Mini Osborne carbon fiber. The Freek is a little thinker than the Mini Osborne. The Mini Freek fits well in a pair of jeans, and it is hardly noticeable. For lighter pants like slacks, I carry the Mini Osborne. But I do carry it everyday, use it on different kinds of tasks both inside and outside the house, and sometimes just take it out to flick it open and closed. Very satisfying. \nI really like this knife. No complaints at all. I bought the mini freek over the mini griptilian (which I used to own but regretfully lost) because the mini freek seemed to have better specifications than the mini griptilian and I thought that would be worth the extra cost. However, I can’t tell any difference. So, if you are like me, and don’t plan on taking advantage of whatever this knife does over the griptilian, I would save your money and get the mini griptilian. \nFYI, I first bought the mini bugout to replace my lost griptilian. The bugout is such a great knife as well. The only drawback of the mini bugout is actually one of its selling points. The mini bugout is so light and small that I forget that I have it in my pocket and I’m afraid it will slip out and I’d never know. It also is slightly less satisfying to flick open and closed. Maybe it was the look of the blade (def the steel!) or the gorgeous satin finish carbon or the apparently perfect size, which all indicate perfect EDC, but I was always also on the fence about it precisely because of its freek-ish looks. Nonetheless I bit the bullet and it's everything I need. It looks much more proportional in person as well as much more strikingly handsome. Oh boy and that edge and the smooth action. I don't want to put it down.
