Disappointingly Drafty
This bag has been a disappointment from the start. I bought it for a trip with my girlfriend in Bend, Oregon in September of 2020. Overnight temps were somewhere around the low 40's, and we were both super cold! Mind you we are using this with the big Agnes double wide insulated sleeping pad recommended for this bag. We felt the cold just pouring in through the sides of the bag, likely due to the construction that doesn't put any insulation on the bottom of the bag!

Seriously, for how many times the description of this bag says "no draft", it is seriously concerning how drafty of a bag it is. When you only have a small baffle covering the zipper area, and the whole bottom of the bag has NO INSULATION, I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise that the chill gets in.

So bear with me here Big Agnes folks, if someone with any design input is reading this. The logic goes that the insulation on the bottom of the bag is excessive because: a) that's what an insulated pad is for, b) it is extra weight and bulk, and c) laying on top of the insulation compacts it anyways, rendering the insulation ineffective. Now hear me out on this important point: in this roomy double bag, you are never going to be laying on top of all the insulation, and you would get so much more insulative value from putting insulation on the bottom of the bag!!! It might even feel like a 15° bag!!!

We have used this many times since purchase, and my girlfriend has come to hate it. She now insists that if we are bringing this bag, we bring my 0° down bag too to use as an extra blanket, defeating the point of having 1 double bag for two people.

All in all, very disappointed by this bag. The temp rating seems exaggerated, the design seems flawed, the chill finds its way in real quick. If you're hoping to stay warm with your partner, this is not a good bag.

Bag is great, zippers are terrible
Bag was spacious, warm, and comfortable. It was so warm that my wife and I didn't need it fully zipped the first night in the mountains when temps dropped to 35.

The zippers had been difficult to work with already: they didn't catch the fabric, they were just poorly constructed and snagged constantly. This was a problem on the second night, when it dropped even colder and both zippers just got completely stuck.

Five stars if the bag's zippers actually functioned.

Nice but not warm enough
We were really excited about this double sleeping bag as it's comfy and light weight. It was great on a trip where night-temps didn't get below 60. However, on the most recent three trips where it gets to the 40's or 50's at night, this bag just is not warm enough. We both need to wear socks, long underwear, and long-sleeve shirts in this bag. When sleeping in our individual bags, we don't need to gear up like this. I think Big Agnes should adjust the temp rating. I'd like to explore exchanging this for another double bag that really is rated at 15 degrees.

Bought this bag, along with the SLX double-wide pad, UL3 tent and made-to-fit footprint.

I realize that ratings are more useful to compare relative warmth between different bags of the same brand, but we were uncomfortably cold in temperatures in the upper 40s in this bag rated for 15 degrees. And this is a double bag! With two in the bag, it seemed particularly surprising. After a 3 week trip of combined wilderness paddling and car-camping, the bag seems to have noticeably less loft.

We love this bag for car camping and the backcountry!
We love this doublewide! It's so cozy that we find it tough to drag ourselves out of it in the morning. For a synthetic doublewide, it's not too heavy, and we've used it for both car camping and for extended trips into the backcountry. Both of our Thermarest Neoair X pads fit well into the pad sleeve. I'm not sure that I would count on it for a 15 degree night, though. We've had a few nights in the 20s and needed to add a little extra insulation into the bag with us (since it's not really a mummy-style bag and there are potentially some open spaces in the bag. Having the sleep pads in the sleeve causes the bag to stretch out more than a mummy bag.) We tossed our puffy coats into the bag on those 20 degree nights and that helped. Can't speak to how it does in warmer weather yet, but we're excited to find out and feel pretty confident it will still be as comfy and cozy.

Very Comfortable In My Vanagon
Have used Big Agnes bags and pads for many years, Always been pleased with the products. No longer a backpacker, but do a lot of camping in my Vanagon. This bag was perfect for my girlfriend and I. Plenty roomy and warm at 8,000 ft and snowing. Did not bother with the Propex heater. Don't really like the cutesiness of the video. Cuddlebug? Really?

Works great, but you recommended the wrong size pads.
I purchased this for a backpacking trip next week. No time to replace the pads, and it appears as though the two pads won't fit together. The recommended pad size clearly says 2 x 20/25 inch By 72 inch pads will fit. I bought the 25 inch pads, and the opening is clearly only big enough for a 40 inch pad. What am I supposed to do with the extra 10 inches? Unless they can overnight new pads, I am SOL for this trip. Hopefully I can find them at a local gear store.

Absolutely dreamy
Ok first off, this bag is amazing. We took it camping the day after it arrived. Up here in the PNW it gets cold at night even during summer. This bag did it's job. My fiancee always complained that we couldn't ever cuddle since we sleep in two bags. She always freezes at night. I think honestly its her pad not the single bag she had. Anyways we tried it. Then dropped below 26° with a winds at about 15 mph. She slept snug as bug with me. I gave her my pad and she said the sleeping bag was one of our best purchases. Now I slept on her REI pad... it deflated 3 times through the night. Since the bottom of the bag is just a thin layer I froze. But honestly this is one of the best feeling and roomies bags I have ever owned. Now that I have it I am never giving it up. Since we are both on the Emergency Response Team with fema and do medical support for the wild fires we won't be able to take it with us since we deploy at different times. But I am getting the big agnes pads so that we can use them with the double wide and our own bags. She hates noisy pads so it's in between q core deluxe and q core slx. Don't know which one is quieter. But we hike everything in as well. So I have no idea. Anyways totally recomend it.

Best Sleep I've Ever Had Camping
Bought this along with two Big Agnes insulated sleeping pads. My girlfriend and I took them on a 5000 Mile road trip sleeping in the back of the car. It was below freezing temps and this sleeping bag was able to keep us warm and toasty with just a base layer on.
