Great bag for a cozy comfortable camping experience
Super cozy add to my air mattress/cot. It runs a little short/small. I was unable to get the larger size. I added a silk sheet and blanket to up the experience. I was upset that I paid $ 54 for 2 day shipping and did not receive the item in the specified time frame from Big Agness and my concern was never aknowledged beyond we will get back to you.
My wife and I took this camping and I had a great night's sleep in the Camp Robber! Temp outside was about 50 overnight, and I was perfectly warm and comfortable all night, and never got too warm. I could see myself putting on wool long underwear to sleep in colder weather. This Bedroll really stretched our budget, but we have no regrets.
We just took the camp robber out for the first time on a weekend trip to Mineral del Chico in Hidalgo, Mexico. I can't say enough great things about this product - lightweight, super comfortable, warm, and spacious (no fighting of covers). The nights got down in the upper 40s and my wife and I were warm and toasty. I actually had to zip the side down a bit at the beginning of the night when it was still in the 50s.
My husband and I bought this for car camping and winter camper trips. Have used it once so far and LOVE it. Plenty of room for both of us to move around but cozy and light weight. Zippers all around allow each person to vent as needed. Zipper does seem to snag easily but not a big issue. I would recommend this bag as a great option for car camping.
I love this thing so much, especially when paired with my q-core deluxe pad. I travel a lot to the rural villages in Alaska for work. The lodging conditions range from the floor of the laundromat or a classroom in the school to some sort of guest housing of questionable cleanliness. Having a lightweight, not too warm, comfy sleeping solution is key to good rest and productivity.
We had a shockingly warm summer here in Alaska, so this was also amazing outside. As my friends sweltered in their warm bags, I had my bedroll for comfort and delight.
I have been using the thermarest quilt sleep system for a while and liked it but was attracted to the Bedroll for several reasons. First, I like that the quilt is designed with sewn through boxes so that the down doesn't shift to the sides leaving you with no down on top in the middle of a cold night. Second, I really like the texture and feel of the bottom sheet and like how easily and well it attaches to the mattress as well as how it will accept several different thicknesses of mattress. Finally, the zipper works well to give you a cozy experience when the weather is colder and is easy to unzip when it's warmer. I only have one suggestion: now that the summer has heated up, I'm finding the down quilt too hot for a steamy summer night. I'd love to have an optional lighter weight quilt like the Canyon UL that could attach to the sheet the same way the down quilt does so that you could switch it out for the down quilt in hot weather. What do you think Big Agnes?
I purchased this product and a matching Big Agnes Q-Core Deluxe pad, and I must say, it is the most comfortable sleeping pad/bag combo I've ever slept in. I will be taking it this summer to West Virginia for the World Scout Jamboree, and needed something that would keep me comfortable for 16 days on a cot, and would be light enough to carry in my luggage. I set it up with the sleeping pad and took a nap the first day I had it and I had a very restful sleep. My son begged me to sleep in it the next night and I let him. He moves a lot in his sleep, but much to my amazement, he was still in it the following morning! I like the versatility of being able to unzip the quilt, but still leaving it attached at the bottom. Also, you can leave the bottom sides zipped, but unzip the foot area to give yourself a bit of breathing space for warmer nights. The integrated pad sleeve is brilliant. Since it is circumferential, it is guaranteed that the pad and bag will not separate during the night. If gravity pulls you to the bottom of the tent, your pad will come with you! I used it for a couple weeks on the guest bed (firm euro style futon) when recovering from a surgery. I slept as well as I do on my king sized memory foam from Costco. I finally took it camping and it was just as good as it was at home. The temp dipped a bit lower than we had planned for, but I did fine with socks and a good base layer. I am still a little shocked at how comfy it is. You won't have a more comfortable pad in camp or on the trail.
