Product Description

Like your own bed in the backcountry! Our Doublewide Series eliminates the need to zip two bags together so there's nothing keeping you apart from your cuddle bug in your tent, van, or wherever you need a super comfy bed. The much improved King Solomon 15 is insulated with 650 fill DownTek™ ; a water-repellent down insulation that repels water while maintaining insulating properties and loft for a cozy, warm sleep experience. Insotect Flow™ baffles keep the insulation in place and allow heat to move along your body. The Flex Pad Sleeve on the bottom makes connecting two pads or stretching around a doublewide pad easier and fast than ever while still allowing the soft polyester shell fabric on top and cozy polyester taffeta lining inside to drape like the comforter on your bed. So snuggle in for the night, this might be your best night's rest under the stars.

Fantastic luxury, with on caveat
This has completely changed our outdoor adventures. My husband and I got this for car camping trips, almost as a joke because it seemed so indulgent to be able to sleep next to each other while out on a trip! We loved it so much, it has become our backpacking set up, even though it's neither light nor small when packed. It's just too compelling to climb into a shared bed after a long day of hiking, so we keep packing this and our poor individual bags and pads nary see the light of day. We've had it about a year and a half and it has held up extremely well. My only caveat is to echo the other female reviewer who finds it to be a little too roomy, and not superb at holding heat. The bag is so spacious that in cold temps (I believe our coldest nights yet were in Joshua Tree, around 10-15F), it's very tough to keep the internal air warm...it disburses and for the more sensitive/smaller sleeper, it can feel a lot colder than a comparably rated single bag. A liner helps, or extra sleeping layers, or ensuring you climb in before the temps drop, etc etc.

Super cozy, but maybe not a 15 degree bag for women
My partner and I got this bag for car camping, bikepacking and backpacking. So far, we've used it for about 14 nights including a 3 day bikepacking trip in Arizona in fall and an 8 day bikepacking trip in Wyoming in the summer. We use it with 2 Q-core SLX sleeping pads and the flex pad sleeve works great to keep the bag and the bags perfectly in place, even while using a short and regular size together. It's definitely a luxury in the back country to have something that feels more like a bed than a normal sleeping bag. The bag can compress down to ~10L if you use a 20L compression sack, but it also just barely squeezes into a 14L sea to summit ultra-sil dry compression sack, which works well as a front handlebar roll for bikepacking. The weight is slightly less than our two separate 25 and 15 degree sleeping bags combined, and takes up less space as well.

The one major downside to the bag is that I don't feel that it is quite a 15 degree bag, especially if you are a small person and sleep cold (such as myself). I am 5'1" and my partner is 5'10". The sleeping bag is super roomy (we could almost fit an extra person in there), which obviously makes it really comfortable and feel more like a bed than a sleeping bag. However, all of that extra room does keep the sleeping bag from being as warm as a traditional mummy bag. I tend to sleep cold, and I need to use a sleeping bag liner with this bag when the temperature drops to less than about 40-45F, depending on the humidity. My partner on the other hand sleeps warmer and has generally been fine, but I guess he isn't giving off enough heat to warm me up too, or maybe its dispersing throughout the large volume bag. With a nice sleeping bag liner, I have stayed warm when the temperatures dropped unexpectedly down to the mid to low 30s, but I would rate this bag more like a 25-30 degree bag for smaller women. Having a warmer sleeping pad and potentially a larger and warmer partner would help!

So comfortable!!!
We have used the King Solomon three times now and it is amazing! I sleep hot and she sleeps cold but with dual zippers it works perfect and keeps her much warmer. The center draft lock is killer as it was cold in Yosemite at altitude in June and it kept the cold from flowing into the center. Super soft, the pillow garages are a great touch and I love how it's got the slot for your hand at the top of the bag so you can hold the opening closed. ( you will find it as soon as you hit your first cold night) Best purchase ever!!

Great with one little flaw
My wife and I wanted a warmer bag for cold-weather camping, and it had to be a double. Looked at some options and decided on the King Solomon 15. I bought it at REI on sale, so it was a good price. Upon inspection after it arrived I found one of the snaps that divide the sleeping pad holder missing. Not the biggest deal, just thought you all should know. Overall very happy with the bag. It is warm and it packs small enough to fit in my backpack. We both fit in it no problem.

Awesome sleeping bag
After much protesting, my wife convince me to buy a double sleeping bag. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I wish my comforter at home was this nice. We've spent many nights in it, some were cold late fall nights. The adjustable hood was a life saver, and the fitted pads and pillow holder prevented the usual wake-up 30 times to adjust issues I was used to. This was my first time trying Big Agnes products. I'm Impressed enough that I just ordered a solo bag and tent for my trips when the wife stays home. I'll definitely keep coming back.

On the fence
I so badly wanted to love this bag, but its not even a whole sleeping bag, the bottom or back part is JUST material that you wrap around a sleeping mat which apparently only works for a specific unknown sleeping mat. The zipper plastic that keeps the zipper from eating the sleeping bag material was broken on one of the zippers. Other than that its comfortable and warm enough.

Awesome bag.
This bag is awesome, just wish I waited a month for it to go on sale! Used it on two ski in yurt trips already and it's great. It packs down super well and it's relatively lightweight. I shoved the sleeping bag, two sleeping pads, two down jackets, and two inflatable pillows into a 32L bag and still had room for a few beers! Besides missing the sale I'm super stoked on this bag so far.

This thing was awesome. I have never had a shared sleeping bag before and loved it. We have our separate hoods, and zippers yet shared warmth! I love it!

Game Changer!
OK, this bag is incredible. I was sceptical about a double bag and was worried my wife would hate it. We initially got it for use in our VW van and got rid of the bulky duvet we were using. We have no regrets whatsoever!
It's much roomier than I expected and with the double zippers, you can get out without disturbing your partner.
Pillow pockets keep the pillows in place and the hood is super cozy.
We also used it on a paddleboards expedition and were stoked on how small it packs when compressed. smaller than two bags for sure!
Highly recommend this unit!

5 starts bed!
We have a previous edition and I absolutely love it! We used it in Caucasus mountains, in Nepal or just traveling with car and even sleeping in the car (we have flat floor). It is not 15F (-9 C), I feel comfortable when the air is about 0 C. We use therm-a-rest pads with it and It is incredible comfortable. The bag is roomy, we can hug or have individual space, zippers on both sides are really convenient.
