I am unsure when that was, but I’ve used it for years. It is fantastic to pack on your motorcycle and go. I threw it in a bag, flew to Hawaii, and slept on the beaches there. It is not heavy. The coffee pot is a great place to store the whole kit. It is durable, and I guess it’ll last my entire lifetime. I might even be able to pass it on to my kids. I’ve never had an issue with the battery, which I assumed would fail after 3 to 5 years, but it is going strong. I can’t recommend the stove more. When I’m camping (like in Hawaii), I usually buy a package of hardwood smoking chips if I know that I’m not allowed to gather firewood, which is the case in most state and national parks. They work great. My stove is a faithful companion and has traveled thousands of miles, making me coffee☕ and breakfast 🍳 in almost every state. I haven’t been to Alaska yet, but that might be in the plan. Also, I didn’t mention the one time I complained about an accessory Biolite that has Biolite has fantastic customer service. They did a great job of trying to solve my problem. They replaced the item, no questions asked. I have because it’s such a great company. I have purchased all the accessories and the large camping fireplace stove, too. I yanked it apart, expecting to find a rodent or at least a decent excuse—nothing. Worked fine until it got hot again, then bam, right back to auditioning for the squirrel torture symphony. I think the improvements are good, but still having Micro USB for your charging port in 2025 is very disappointing. USB-C is where everyone else has moved, including Apple... and if Apple beats you to accepting and moving to an industry accepted standard, then you are really behind! And that's coming from an Apple fan. If you still have a bunch of stock you had built in 2023, then run a sale, clear it out, and have a new version built with USB-C and whatever other upgrades you've been contemplating. USB-C is where everyone else has moved, including Apple... and if Apple beats you to accepting and moving to an industry accepted standard, then you are really behind!
