Easy to use. But… when I dim the light it will flip back to the brightest mode on its own after 60-90 seconds. I get frustrated and finally leave it that way, knowing that I’m draining power much quicker than needed. A few times I’ve left it on the bright setting and had it flip back to dim spontaneously after 10-15 minutes a few times. The on/off switch isn't as difficult to activate as the old one. It generates plenty of light, the light beam has a good shape, and I love that it's waterproof. It's so light you barely feel like you're wearing it. I’m super impressed with how comfortable it is. The headband is soft, stretchy, and it doesn’t dig into my forehead like some other headlamps I’ve tried. It’s so lightweight that half the time I forget I’m even wearing it, which makes a big difference on longer hikes or when I’m moving around camp.\n\nThe waterproofing is another big win. I’ve used it in the rain and even dropped it in a creek once, no issues at all. Knowing it can handle getting wet without dying gives me a lot of peace of mind, especially in the Pacific Northwest where rain is pretty much guaranteed.\n\nBattery life is solid too. I like that you can plug it in for just a few minutes and still get enough juice for an hour.
