very bright
We bought these to replace light & motion headlights that were losing a charge after 25 min. This light seems to have a longer battery life if you can get the charger plugged in correctly. It is a tight fit and doesn't seat well without pushing pretty hard. Time will tell with the battery as we have not used it for darkness yet. We got them after the days got longer. We like that you can control the light function from our Garmin cycling computers.

great light
i think this is a great light, use the strobe around the roads at dusk, and then put it on full beam when it gets dark, on the country roads. i also put on in the summer, as well as the flare rear, which is just as good. Amazing how many vehicles move away from you to pass, never had that with the old light. Took a wee bit of time to find the right fittings for my madone slr6 though.

Great light -- but how do I turn the blure tooth off......
The garmin linked rear blue tooth is triggered by the texts that are link from my IPhone to my garmin watch.. Every text triggers the light to go on when sitting on my desk w/in blue tooth distance... Can't figure how to disable the light blue tooth permanently. I held the button down and rest the light, but it keeps happening.

It worked great...for one ride...now it's dead.
Worked great for one ride. Now when i plug it in, it doesn't so much a flash. Nothing. Nada. Sure, maybe it would just be one bad light, but this is the SECOND one that has just completely up and died, never to work again.

Bright headlight with reliable battery life
This is a versatile headlight with multiple brightness settings for lighting up trails at night. I mostly use the two strobe settings for commuting in the Minnesota winter where it gets dark by 5pm. The battery life is very good when using the strobe settings, so I only have to charge it about once a week.

Great Headlight
This headlight takes a huge leap ahead from the last Ion. It is slightly larger than the Ion 700 but the battery life and brightness are worlds better. The mount is along those same lines in that it is more bulky than the old rubber strap style but the tensioning screw makes for a rock solid interface. I've also had a Light & Motion Urban and while the old Ion felt a little like an imitation of that light, this new one is a benchmark for the other light brands to aim for.

Great light for those dark nights
Just got the light and went out riding on the trail. I honestly am surprised on how much it actually made stuff visible. I put it on top of the helmet and truthfully was very impressed.
