I carry this knife every single day. However, recently, after 2 years of periodic use, the little pins have started to come out. I will definitely buy another one, just wish the longevity was similar to other Buck knives I own.
I carry my deuce knife with me every day. It is in my pocket when I leave the house, and, in fact, I may have only one thing in my pocket when I leave the house, and that single thing is my deuce knife. It is probably the most versatile tool I own, and I never have to worry about whether it will perform adequately...it has never let me down.
I have owned one of these knives for the past 40 years. I carry it in my pocket no matter where I go. The only time I am without this knife is when I have somehow lost it. I have never broken one in all those years, nor have I ever chipped a blade. Unlike other pocket knives owned by friends and associates, the blades rarely need sharpening, they hold an edge like very few others. I expect I will have a Deuce Knife in my pocket until the day I die, and it will be part of the estate I bequeath to my nephew.
This is my first experience with the Deuce but far from my first time owning a "Buck" knife. I have owned a Buck for over 60 years in one model or another, starting with a hunting knife and then later a small one for my pocket. Over the years I have lost a couple and wore out a couple but I have never had one that wasn't excellent and long lasting and when I need a new one I always go back for another Buck. I have had other brands given to me and some have been quite good but not quite up to Buck's standard. I only use the Deuce as a general purpose pocket knife but it is outstanding.
I also appreciate the Christian stance that the company makes and publishes on the paper included in the box with each knife. Thanks for your determination to 'keep the faith'
