Very disappointed","text":"I bought this toy for my Husky because it had the bristles which would have been a great way to help their teeth along with getting a treat. I got the Large, which is the appropriate size, and all the bristles came off within a few hours! If there were replacements for these middle components I would definitely buy them! Unfortunately the toy loses the function of tightly holding the treat rings when these pieces get destroyed. I've been searching to see if there is a recall for the treat disks. Not only is it durable but it cleaned my Great Dane's teeth better than anything except for the vet's professional cleaning. I've tried dental treats, toothbrushes, finger brushes - you name it, but he wouldn't really tolerate anything long enough for it to be effective, but this worked! My only caution would be if you have an aggressive chewer, closely monitor the bristles. The way my dog chews, sometimes he uses his front teeth to like pull things out which he does with the bristles, thankfully he spits most of them out but once that starts I swap it out for a piece of cheese. I echo the same feelings other have about the durability and serious safety concerns about the nylon bristles. PetSafe should listen. It’s one thing to clean teeth another to have To move the bristles from your animals mouth or worse. However in an effort to not waste my money I took two apart and used only the purple nubs and one or two treats between. This solved my problem and dogs loves it just the same. This is similar to the corncob too but the bone shape the dog can hold better. My only gripe is when the nubs on the purple ring break off (and they eventually do). I have to buy a whole new item!? Going in six now. It would be great if you could buy replacement parts for the toy. \r\n\r\nI cannot recommend it as is. He has dental issues and chewing something fun seemed like a good start. Not with these chew toys. He's not an aggressive chewer by any means. Hasn't even chewed the squeaker out of a toy or chewed an ear off. But this thing...the treat wasn't even half gone, some of the bristles we're already gone, the ring that holds the bristles splits down the middle like it was glued together with cheap glue. Both fell apart almost immediately. I contacted the company to find out what the bristles were made of and they advised that ingesting the nylon bristles isn't recommended and I should consult a veterinarian. That's after waiting two days for a response. I'm curious to see if they get back to me because I gave them a rather large piece of my mind.
