If you are shooting a lot of rounds for league practice with a stock gun, it is essential to compensate for mst firm OEM butt pads. I've replaced most of my shotguns butt pads with after market softer ones, but still use this if shooting more than 2 rounds in a row for practice or 100 round trap mini grands or 50+ round sporting clays. My qualitatively flimsy Velcro attachment tab is still working. This won't fit really big individuals. I don't know who sized these things but they are not suited for men with above average chests. I wear a size 42 coat and I had to let the straps all the way tout to get it on. The closures are made of cheap velcro and are not well secured to the strap. It says it absorbs 75% of the recoil kick and I would say it's more than that. Birdshot and buckshot follow-up shots are quick and easy.
