Treat your best friend right. This bed gives your dog a fluffy cushion to sleep on. It's made with the same durable duck we use on our jackets and bibs but with a feel that's broken-in from the start.
My blue heeler loves this bed! It’s the first bed I’ve actually invested in. He has shredded so many beds from PetSmart but not this Carhartt one. Totally worth it!!
The cover is very Carhartt durable, as expected. The filling, is like what you would use to make stuffed toys. It is very light and puffy. Too puffy for my 80lbs dog’s liking. We will be changing out the filling.
Great. Dog bed. This is actually the 3 rd bed purchased. Really like they are washable and very durable. My Lab loves her new bed!! Now all my Dags have Carhartt beds
Quality dog bed that should last a long time. Its made of the some material as my bibs and jacket obviously, so it's a little tough right now, but as the dogs wear it in it'll continue to be more comfy and less noisy for them I'm sure! Great bed, happy with the purchase.
Little Brucey always grabs the spot by the fireplace and loves curling up on this bed.
Buying two or more. For some reason (they’re GSP’s), they chew all the other beds we’ve had. The Carhartts, well they just don’t!... My wife and I love’em!... The brown is perfect
A great dog bed that fits in the back of my club cab as a set of two. One dog seem to settle right in while the other took awhile to get used to the firmness of the bed as opposed to the soft cushion he had before. I think the fabric will last a long time but isn't quite as comfortable as some of the other beds judging by the reaction of our dogs
My dog loves this bed! It is her go to sleeping spot when we are hanging out in the living room. Have had it for over a year now and it still looks just as good as the day I ordered it. Super easy to take the cover off and clean it.
My service dog loves his Carhartt dog beds!! Easy to fluff it up for him, and the zip off cover is easy to remove and throw in the washer! Typical Carhartt quality of course!!
Got the smaller one of the two sizes wish I got the big one. Tough and durable. Love that its washable. The best gift for you fluffy family member who will use it a lot. Yeti dog bowl is an nice gift to add too.
Internal pillow felt a little inadequate for such a tough carhartt duck external cover. Wish it had a little more filling. But Carhartt tough all the way, can’t beat it
This insert was made of poor material in my opinion for the cost of the bed. My 10 month old lab chew a hole in it the first time we left her home alone. Won’t be buying another dog bed. Had high hopes carhartt would be better materials then beds I’ve gotten in the past. Sadly it was not.
The durability of the bed cover seems great however it flattens out very quickly and your dog is basically laying on the floor on a piece of canvas. We have a 20lb dog so I wouldn’t expect this to happen. I contacted customer service about this issue and they told me to machine wash the inner bed. Unfortunately the care instructions on the inner bed say hand wash which was an absolute pain inland then to top it off it isn’t able to go in the dryer so I basically had to hang dry a soaking wet giant pillow. We are in the NE so with the humidity it took a few days to dry and now has a terrible smell.
I don’t mean to complain about this dog bed because the reviews are what led me to purchase it in the first place. That said it’s a little thick and I’m hoping my dog’s weight compresses it down a bit over time. He seems to like it though and that’s the most important thing. Also, I love the material, his fur sweeps right off, and I like that I can remove the cover when the time comes to wash it. I’d give it a 5 star, which I may eventually do, when/if it compresses down a bit.
He really loves this bed. I was a little worried at first because it was so fluffy, but he didn’t care. We also have the smaller one that we’ve had for a very long time and it’s so well made and has out lasted other beds we have put in his crate, that I would recommend this bed to anyone.
Our 5-month-old Australian shepherd puppy managed to open the zipper twice to get at the fluffy insides. The first time I was able to close the zipper again. We can't after the second time. She also chewed holes in the flap that covers the zipper. I am impressed by the pristine quality of the filling, though. We have a Carhartt bed for our 10-year-old golden retriever and have had no problems. We also have Carhartt jackets and clothing for ourselves. We are disappointed that this bed was so easily and quickly damaged. It doesn't live up to your brand.
Love this for our new dog! We looked at other beds for him at the pet store, and nothing can compare to this one.
First of all, the pet store beds that we looked at, which were more costly, did not have removable covers. This one does, which is a major plus. Secondly, the inside pad is not made of flimsy material... it's very sturdy.
My only (minor!) 'itch' about it was that, because we mail ordered it, it was compacted, and was very poufy when we took it out of the packaging... the dog wouldn't get on it at first. We took a week of the kids laying on it while tv watching, to get it flat enough for the dog!
Love it! We have a medium bed in Carhartt Brown for our 3 year old male Australian Cattle dog who’s about 50lbs. It fit perfectly inside his medium size kennel when we were crate training and kept him comfortable. It’s held up to his playful chewing, digging/scratching trying to find that perfect spot, and stains. Very easy to vacuum hair off with the hose and brush attachment and machine washable. This bed has seen dirt, mud, blood, grassy throw up, pee , and probably more but you’d never know. Stains come right out in the wash and leave almost no marks on the inner cushion. The cushion does need some occasional fluffing though. It tends to get flat and firm after long term use. We no longer use his kennel, but it’s still his “safe space” on the floor in the living room.
My 1 yr old lab pointer mix has mannaged to pop the metal zipper open 3 times in the last month. There is no visible signs of damage to zipper but she destroyed the inner pouch with the stuffing. The outer material is holding up realy well maybe i just got one with a bad zipper. She does love her bed bet she likes to chew too.
