I have put the recommended 50 rounds of steel shot through it. The first 25 were 3inch/1450fps/1.25oz/#3shot. The next 25 were 2.75inch/1325fps/1.625oz/#6shot. Also 5 rounds of 2.75inch/1145fps/1.625oz/#8shot and 5 rounds of 2.75inch/1345fps/9pellet/00buckshot.\n\nThere is moderate recoil, even with the higher velocity loads. You still have to seat it well into your shoulder to minimize the inevitable kick. But the platform is very stable, operates smoothly while easily getting on target after each shot. There wasn't much difference in the results of the types of shot used, each type was nearly equally as devastating to the targets as the next. It clearly will deliver a powerful punch for defense, hunting or targets.\n\nEarly issues I had were with the popup sights not initially popping up when pressed. This was resolved by simply working the mechanisms a number of times until they began to operate properly. Another issue was with the 3 inch shells catching on auto-reload. It was easily fixed by simply pulling back on the charging handle, then letting it slide forward and the shell loaded without more trouble. This has only happened a couple of times with the 3 inch shells (the first 25 used). It has never happened with the 2.75 inch shells, as those have auto-reloaded flawlessly. One last issue was that the magazines were extremely difficult to load at first due to the stiffness of their springs. It was much easier after just a few times of loading them, possibly due to keeping them loaded for the few days between break-in sessions. I noticed online people complained about shells feeding and it jamming but they seemed to have clearly fixed the fedd issue with a refined better machined part and the instructions clearly state 50 rounds of break in are needed.
