My husband is a truck driver and we have purchased several of these through out the years as they always seemed to be the most reasonably priced and fill well with restricted space in his truck. All of the sudden, we can't purchase this item in Canada without spending double the amount to get it off of Amazon or pay double the price and get it from Walmart. The last one we bought was $120 Canadian and now it is $290 Canadian for the same product. This is ridiculous and if we have to pay that price then maybe we should get it from someone else - maybe the motor won't burn out after a year or 2.
....I've been using (1 Thermal cool/heater and (2) cold coolers 24-7 for over 2 years!!! One AC/DC power supply failed recently....but....no fan failures!!!! I bought extra front mounted fans and some internal 60mm x 60mm x 10mm 12 volt fans from Amazon...(just in case) ....'Just in case' .... I depend on them.... We like them!!!! Thanks for being out there!!! Semper Fi! Godspeed!!! (SFGS) You want a 'COLD' beer?????? I'm a HAM operator and have a number or 'High Amp' AC/DC Switching Power Supplies..... I have them on Stand-By..... The Coleman Converter runs 'Pretty Warm'......... Still a 'GREAT PRODUCT'!!!! Semper Fi! Godspeed!! (SFGS)
I use it mostly for keeping food cold and it works fine. Except I plugged the 2 blue markings together and it went hot. Matched the red to the red and it went cold. Just the opposite of what it should have been. Now that I know that, it will work fine for my purposes.
HELP. This is the second one, I shipped the first one back for the same problem. I cannot get this cooler to cool. I plug it blue to blue and it heats, and red to red heats also. What am I doing wrong??? Any suggestions???
I've 2 of these. Power cord connected to the cooler fails at random. Please have an extra power cord with you so when (it Will Fail it fails you can replace it and not end up with inconvenience while on your trip.
I’ve owned 6 of these over 4 years as a truck driver. They start off well then it just slowly goes down hill til eventually it just breaks. And now the latest one I bought only lasted 3 months and the power cord stopped transmitting power. I would recommend buying is using in a car. And probably would recommend for a semi just know you’ll have to buy new every six months
Had this cooler a little over a year. Both fans failed. Previously I owned an older model of the cooler and it worked well for for better than 10 years. I see the outside fan is available from Coleman, but not the inside fan???
I bought this cooler/heater years ago. I use it for both keeping food/drink cold and hot. My cooler/heater has operated flawlessly despite my less than gentle handling. Whenever people see it, they ask where did I get it, and I always recommend it.
