I was surprised with how well their socks held up during my run. I usually wear Balega socks for running. Good news the Brook socks didn’t give me blisters so that’s a plus. The clothing line is light weight and I appreciated that very much. If you like the Patagonia Houdini, or other light weight material clothing. You are definitely going to love this clothing line. Definitely will be recommending the Dash clothing/ sock line by Brooks to all my different run clubs I’m in and to my customers and friends who value my feed back in apparel. Very impressed with the Dash line. If you’re interested look no further. Go and buy it so worth it! It performed well in both settings with no issues. The fabric is extremely breathable and allowed for a full range of motion, and it wicked away moisture better than I expected, even during higher-effort runs. The material is so lightweight that you can actually feel the breeze move through it while running, which is a huge plus for comfort.\nDespite the light color and airy fabric, the shirt provided better coverage than I anticipated and wasn’t as sheer as I expected for how lightweight it is. Shirt is incredibly lightweight and works well for indoor workouts where I typically only wear tank tops...makes a good option for shoulder coverage while not overly sweaty. Loose/relaxed fit and doesn't cling after a hard run. It looks best with high waisted bottoms for me but that's just because I am about 6 feet tall. I’ve been a runner for 25+ years, and worked in run specialty for nearly 10 years.\n\nThe shirt is ultra lightweight, buttery soft, sweat-wicking, has subtle reflective detailing, and UPF 20+ sun protection. These 3” shorts are lightweight, breathable, lined, have a drawcord and elastic waistband. They’re comfortable, soft, and stayed-put during activities. Both are semi-fitted, but for the past few years, Brooks apparel has run small, so I’d recommend sizing up. I received the Brooks dash tee in a size small. I usually wear an extra small in tops, and as I am 5-3 it came down pretty low past my hips. I wore the top and shorts out on some easy runs as well as for gym workouts. I love the dash top. It reminds me of the sprint tops/tanks which are lightweight and breathable. I would definitely recommend the top to others but not the shorts. It’s lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying—perfect for workouts in warm conditions. Even in the winter desert climate, temperatures heat up fast, and this shirt performs really well at the gym thanks to how airy and comfortable it feels.\nThe shirt runs slightly large, so I could have sized down, but the shorts fit true to size. They’re very comfortable and stay in place without bunching up on the treadmill or during workouts. The built-in short liner is a great added feature and something I really appreciate. The fabric is extremely lightweight with strong moisture-wicking properties and good airflow, not to mention soft to the touch. During my gym workouts, it moved well, allowing for overhead movements without feeling restrictive or riding up. The shirt neither bunched up nor stuck to me when I got sweaty, and it dried quickly post-workout—both huge pluses in my book. \n\nThe lighter color shade is slightly see-through, which may be a concern for some, but I found it a good trade-off for the shirt’s lightweight and breathable feel. Overall, the Brooks Dash Shirt is ideal for anyone prioritizing breathability and comfort, especially for indoor training or warm-weather runs. I spent a few weeks trying this out against a few other brands of comparable duty and performance. These being a Patagonia Capilene cool tee and an Arcteryx Taema Tee. The other brands are amazing as well, but Brooks has a very light wispy and soft feel that is so different. The fabric falls against the skin like silk. The arcteryx tee isn’t nearly as breathable or stretchy. The Patagonia is not as lightweight. The Dash tee is just barely see through, not revealing, but stretchy and moves with you and hangs just right! I could feel the breeze flow through it and stayed ventilated on a run and brisk hike. I never had to tug or adjust anything. Only con, and it is very small, was that it Didn’t really wick a massive amount of sweat, but I stayed fairly dry due to the breathable nature and quick drying capability. I sweat a lot, so it’s to be expected. Held up great over a half dozen washes. I machine wash and hang dry. I expect many more uses. I highly recommend this tee. The fit was spot on. The lightweight material is incredibly soft and truly feels “barely there.” I wore it on a run and also during gym training, and it performed great for both. The length was perfect, not too long, and the shoulder area allowed plenty of freedom of movement. I also really liked the neckline, it sat comfortably and looked flattering.\n\nThe shirt felt fitted without being too tight or baggy, and I stayed comfortable throughout my workouts. It dried quickly and felt breathable the entire time. I also appreciated the reflective details, which are a nice bonus for running in lower light. Overall, it’s a very versatile top and the weight of the fabric is perfect. I’ll definitely be purchasing more. One thing to note: the Halogen Blue color was a bit sheer, so my sports bra color was visible.\n\nFor the Dash Short, the material was excellent, very lightweight and breathable, with great ventilation for running. The shorts have a built-in brief, but no compression liner, so they’re ideal if you prefer traditional running shorts rather than compression-style liners. The fit was slightly snug in the waist for me, likely due to the thicker waistband, but they still felt comfortable and flexible while running.\n\nThere’s a small internal waistband pocket that works well for keys or chapstick, though there are no additional zippered storage options. The fabric itself isn’t very stretchy aside from the waistband, but I didn’t feel restricted or bulky at all. The length felt great for running and kept me cool, I believe they’re the 3-inch inseam.
