First anchor improvement in many years! The Digger Anchor will hold your vessel "put" in your favorite spot in a river lake or on the ocean. Just a "jerk" on the rope when pulling up anchor will drop flukes. All mud sand and weeds will stay in the water. Grabber cleats or "diggers" put constant downward pressure on flukes to set fast and keep digging down in rough and windy conditions! No chain needed! Features:
Powder coated castings
Zinc plated loops and eyehooks
Aluminum tube encases internal parts
15 lb. for boats up to 40 ft or pontoons up to 30 ft
The world class "Digger" boat and pontoon anchor gets the job done right the first time. Now your watercraft will stay just where you put it. In fact with up to 300% more holding power this unique anchor will hold your boat and another tied to it in rough water. Its unique grabber cleats or "Diggers" put constant downward pressure on flukes to set fast and keep digging down even in rough and windy conditions! And when it's time to head for shore simply raise anchor off the lakebed then just give a slight jerk on the anchor rope to release it. This allows the flukes to drop down leaving mud sand and weeds in the water.
Does a great job of holding my boat. I have used the Digger for years and had good success. It generally pops loose as described. I have lost two of these anchors due to having to cut them loose (the spring will not pop the flukes loose), but I don't know if this is due to anchor malfunction or the anchor rope being caught on something deep in the water. I usually anchor in 50 - 100 feet of water, so I don't know what has hung up the two that I've lost over the years (probably over 100 times of use).
