The Eagle Nest Outfitters SingleNest Hammock is made with breathable quick-drying nylon. This ENO SingleNest Hammock is perfect for those people who don't feel like sharing. This hammock is light enough to make the backpacker's cut but robust enough for backyard luxury. Complete with an attached compression stuff sack and heavy-duty triple-stitched seams for durability, the Eagle Nest Outfitters SingleNest Hammock is an excellent choice!
I bought this hammock and slap straps as a gift for my daughter's birthday. She set them up at her apartment and called me to say how much she liked her gift. This weekend she brought them camping and quickly set the hammock up at our campsite. It was so easy and comfortable to use I'm going to get one for myself!
We have used this hammock on our sea kayak trips and really like it's ease of set up with the suspension system. It has been a crowd pleaser and two of our friends are now also planning to get one. Good Buy!
I use a hammock (along with a small inflatable mat and a normal sleeping bag) on kayak trips to give me more options about where I stop for the night. This one works fine, but I have replaced the cord and crabs it came with with lighter and more flexible 4m lenghts of tape. The integral stuff sack (in the middle of one side) is of no use to me becasue I pack and unpack it from the ends - so that it stays well clear of the ground. That said, this is a well made and useful item; but buy the "double" rather than the "single" if you are large or like to move around a bit at night.
This is a great hammock. I gave it four stars only because I don't give things 5 stars until after I've destroyed them. We'll see how long it takes to destroy it. I purchased it last winter and have used it many times. Primarily on the Lower Salmon River to as my bed while working for a rafting company in Riggins, ID. It's a quick set up, take down and it's a good size. I wish I would have bought the double nest for those rare occasions when my lady and I could share it. The only problem that I have had with this product that the seams on the strap around the outside of the stuff-bag started to pull out. I'm not worried about this, because I've used it more than it's fair share of days on the Salmon. Any one who's gone rafting on the Salmon or Hells Canyon knows that those rivers are hell on gear. I would definitely buy this item again, and will when this one has seen it's last day on the Salmon.
