Great, affordable, left handed autoloader
I purchased the Franchi Affinity 3 left because it was the only sub $1,000 autoloader that was inertia driven and left handed. I've put about 200 rounds through it dialing in the fit and I really like it. 200 rounds isn't enough to write a comprehensive review but it's enough to get a decent feel for the gun. After buying a longer TSA pad and raising the comb it feels great. The recoil is fine and since it's inertia driven it runs clean. It seems to cycle cheap Walmart target loads without issue (I've seen these same rounds jam in two different Mossberg pumps). It'll be put to a real test next week on the dove season opener. If you're looking for a true left handed inertia driven autoloader this is basically your only option unless you want to shell out tons of cash for a Benelli.

Left hand version has issues.
Franchi 28" Affinity Left-Hand 12 Gauge Shotgun

I Purchased from Scheels in Appleton in February of 2018. I used the gun 1.5 days the week of Thanksgiving (2018) in South Dakota and a pin fell out of the action. Hunted the next couple days using my buddies right handed gun.

When I got home to central WI I drove 2 hours one way to Appleton to get my gun fixed. Scheels sends the gun to Benelli and 8 weeks later I get my gun back...

I take my repaired gun to North Dakota on another pheasant hunt the week of Thanksgiving 2019. 1.5 days into the hunt and the gun falls apart again... Same issue different year.

I call Benelli and their customer service rep tells my the lefthanded version has a locking nut that the right handed version doesn't. Apparently that nut has a tendency to come off. He assures me that if I get my gun back to Scheels they will be able to have it repaired in 2 weeks.

When I get home to central WI I drive immediately to Scheels in Appleton. The rep at Scheels offers to buy my gun so that I can buy a new gun to use for my next two weeks of hunting in the Dakotas. He offers me $400 dollars for a gun I have used less than three days and have returned to them twice with less than 3 boxes of shells through the action.

To say I am disappointed with Benelli is an understatement. I have owned several of their shotguns since 1996. My original was a RT handed Montefeltro then purchased a lefthanded version and then moved to a lefthanded super black eagle. Four years ago I purchased my Ultralight 20 and have been very pleased with them.

I have been a repeat customer of Scheels over the last 12 years purchasing guns bows and various other equipment and clothing... when I needed them the most they insult me instead of trying to take care of me.

By the way, my gun has not been returned and its been almost 5 weeks.

Breakin was perfect. Shot 100 rounds with no issues at all. When I shot first round of turkey loads the gun was dead on.

I researched this semi auto long before I bought it. Hard to find Left Hand long guns under $1600 unless you want Beretta A400. You can always expect great service at Scheel’s in any sporting good category. Shoots smooth with no issues breaking it in. Going turkey hunting in Missouri in 2 weeks and can’t wait.
