I bought this a few months ago and was excited about all the good things : battery life, sleep tracking etc It has since stopped keeping the battery charged for more than 15 hours. I am frustrated and disappointed because I needed it to support me on keeping healthy habits. I have made all the recommended battery saving adjustments with no improvement.
I have been using the Vivosmart for about 6 weeks. I like it, and love the size, but there are limitations. I would like more flexibility in settings (ie heart rate zones, treadmill settings, etc). I love the body battery; it’s helpful in keeping track of other aspects of my life. My ideal: a smart device with a smaller size similar to the Vivosmart.
Garmin has always had a good reputation for me, and when my fitness tracker's technology was no longer supported swimming, I had to look for a new one. My requirements were that the fitness track had to accommodate swimming AND it had to be a discreet device. All reviews of fitness trackers pointed me toward the Garmin vivosmart 4. Now that COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted at my pool, it's been back in the water, and the Garmin vivosmart 4 works quite nicely!
Only had it for a few days so far, so far so good!
Really enjoy it so far, BUT I've only had it for about a week. That's the only reason why I haven't given it 5 stars. Functionally, it does everything well that it advertises. The one thing that I have not yet tried is the GPS enabled through your phone, which I am eagerly wanting to. Also, this might be a con to some, but to me I'm even happier about this - the screen is even smaller in person than I though it'd be. I've had no problems syncing it to my phone, I feel like it tracks steps and heart rate pretty accurately. Overall, I love it so far! It does what I want out of it!
I’ve only had this for a few days and it’s amazing how easy it is to learn and use the features. Already learning a lot that helps me with energy and activity levels. Thank you, Garmin! I definitely recommend this unit. Mine is Berry colored and very comfortable to wear.
I love the display options, and especially the fact that its water-resistant. I wish it had voice recognition for choosing from a list of replies to texts... other than that it does everything! - including tell me the weather and temp; day of the week and date; time of course with alarms, and heart functions which can bluetooth my pulse to another device!
This is my third Garmin fitness tracker. I love this brand and would recommend it to anyone. The lightweight unit has a thin comfortable band and still manages to pack in a lot of great features such as VO2 tracking, steps, intensity and many more. A definite win!
I got this last week for a study. I can't change the time to standard time, I can't tell when the day starts counting, i can't change the goals, it only wakes up about half the time I touch it. I assume it is sending data for the study, but I don't know that for sure.. It needs a lot of work.
Able to check heart rate and keep up with steps wa
I got it per recommendations of my doctor Do wish I paid closer attention to size. I got the small to medium and needed the large. I loved that it tracked my sleeping the first night......but has not since then. Is the band changeable and do ya'lo have it in Red!!!
I just got this about a week ago and so far so great I really do like it. The best part is the customizability in what information you receive and what you are able to do with the band. I really like it. I can't vouch for the longevity yet but I do really like this product so far.
I really enjoy my Garmin. I like the user interface, it is easy to use, the data is accurate, and I like the experience. However, the syncing of the device to my phone is terrible. I have had to remove the app and reinstall several times and I’ve only had it roughly a week. Please fix this soon!
I was previously using a fitbit n decided to try this New Garmin vivosmart. Compared with other devices and decided on the vivosmart. It works perfectly well, for all that I needed it to do. Unfortunately; because of my sensitive skin- I seem to be having an allergic reaction to the metal clasp/fastener that touches my skin. Other than that,I would be singing this devices' praises to all? Is there any way that u guys can correct this fastener with a hard plastic or sterling silver? So that it doesn't break me out? If I can't find the remedy for this issue fast,I will have to return it! Thanks! Sincerely, Marissa Doggins
I've had the vivosmart4 for about a week and love it so far. I am not athletic. I got this because I have heart issues and am diabetic and wanted an idea of how my heart was doing throughout the day. I know there is the warning about it not being medical grade, bit it works nice to give me an alert when my heart rate is going up when I might not think about it. The step counter is definitely a good motivator. I get annoyed if I don't get my steps in. The one thing I wish it did was turn on with the button as well as motion. It doesn't always register enough movement to turning and I feel foolish waving my arm around to get it to turn on.
Bought this because I was looking to keep track of my steps but wanted the ability to turn bluetooth off. Learning it has a lot of great additional features, particularly stress and sleep tracking, that make it an awesome health tracker. First few days of sleeping with it are a little uncomfortable (never slept with a watch on my wrist before) but seems very spot on with tracking quality and length of sleep. also love the reminders to move if I've been idle for a while. stress tracker seems fairly accurate so far, body battery i can't tell if it's useful but may just need to use it a while longer so the tracker gets used to my energy and routines. pulse ox seems cool and is a nifty added feature, particularly in these covid times seems like a useful tool to have on hand (doesn't seem as accurate as a finger pulse ox but not bad). i use this solely as a tracker not a smart watch. picked this over other trackers because of the ability to turn the bluetooth off (garmin seems to have this for most their trackers)...i have it off majority of the day and will instead sync once in the morning and/or once in the evening so i can review my daily activities on the app. highly recommend!
I loved the featured but it would not hold a charge. I also loved the look of it compared to others. I tried for different times and each time it shut off after about 2 hours. Very disappointed. I returned it.
I bought the vivosmart 4 to track my bicycle exercise. The vivosmart 4 will not connect to my iPhone X GPS so it useless for tracking. Bluetooth is functioning in both units. Software is up to date and I have the latest Garmin iPhone app. I have followed all the instructions but it will not work. It is useless as a bicycle exercise tracker.
I find the taping of the face to be ineffective and rubber wrist band doesn't allow much coolness ...Overall a wider oval face would be a big improvement...I will end with this the data obtained is extremely useful.
The watch looks great, especially on a smaller wrist. The steps and heart rate seem accurate enough. You can’t set an exercise with a distance goal and that’s a big let down. You can’t view your walk/run progress during the activity and can’t see the distance until after you finish. I wish we could *at least* see real-time progress in the app. The double tap feature to start the different timers is awful. It takes trying about 5 different variations of double taps to get it to work. Currently testing out a Fitbit, but I really wish the tweaks can be made so I can keep this Garmin.
I have a Fitbit and it is easier to use. the Garmin has the Oxygen Level feature and I love that !! The Garmin is smaller and looks nicer. I decided to wear the Fitbit, and the Garmin will just be used for checking Oxygen levels on occasion. Wish I could combine the two.
I've only had this a couple of days but it doesn't always work as advertised. It's supposed to show the time when I flick my wrist but it doesn't always do that. When it turns off I can't get it back on right away.
I recently bought this because of a recommendation from a friend, and it was worth it! i’ve only been using for a little bit but the features are so easy to use and helpful! it is really convenient and comfortable to wear.
I just got this watch a few days ago but absolutely love it. I have a really small wrist and it fits perfectly and could even go smaller. I love the look of it and can even wear it to work, with my suits. I am grateful that it allows you to return a text (cannot write one, but you can choose from a few). If my stress rises it vibrates and tells me to breathe. It will also tell me when it's time to start moving after I have sat for too long. Steps seem to be pretty close to accurate, during my walks. The watch is small, probably the width of my finger and barely know you're wearing it. The only 2 downsides: I did have to download an under armour app to calculate my calories but the two apps work together nicely. Just fyi - the SATS/pulse ox are only taken during sleep, and I have not found an option to take it on command. Great watch!
Still getting use to it and all its features as it does so much. Can't figure out though when. I am supposed to charge it again after the original charge. Sent company an email 2 days ago asking but no response yet.
Great features but did not measure anywhere near accurate. Climbed 5 flights in the house got credit for 2. Returned and ordered another, same disappointing results. Best feature for me was the ability to read it outdoors walking in sunshine.
