My problem with this chair (I have 2) is the fact that after not even a year of gentle use, I cannot open the chairs without feeling like I am going to break them. The sliding parts get caught on the frame and without the use of wd40, you cannot open them. They are too low to the ground and do not provide any stability to push up from. While rather large I can finally take this chair to outdoor functions and not be embarrassed about not being able to get out of the chair when I want to with ease or help. It's the height of the legs of this chair and the hard arm rests and tight seat that make a graceful exit possible. The first chair broken when I tried to open it as the chair was stuck shut. I owned that chair for less a year. The second chair will not open after one weekend of travel ball. I’ll have to carry a can of WD-40 to spray the chair rails before each use, so that chair will open and close. At first I was giving the option of a lesser chair, or I could get a better chair but pay the difference. When I expressed that I was not happy with that, I was told they did have my chair but it was a limited edition and cost extra cause of the colors. So they gave me that. Wasn’t real happy with the colors but oh well. The first time I set in my new replacement, one of the rivets on a cross brace broke just like the first one. I said heck with it and ended up putting a bolt in it. I just make sure to let people at the ball field see it and let them know of the quality of these chairs! They are horrible. The bag is the best part of these chairs. For less money, go to academy and get their Magellan chairs. Way better quality, and in the event of a defective chair, they will happily give you the next best quality chair in exchange, if the one you have is not available.
