Wearing my jacket without a cap means that I end up with rain hitting me on the face, even if I had the hood on. But this cap is perfect. It allows me to keep my head up as I walk under the rain, and the Gore-Tex fabric works wonderfully. The water beads and slides off the brim smoothly, so it stays dry and keep my head dry too. I will definitely use this for hiking trips in rainy weather!\n\nMy only complaint is that the brim is almost completely flat, which is not my favorite style.
