The fit is perfect.\nMy feet can run hot in some shoes, but in Cielo X1 it's not a problem at all.\nI was worried that because they are see through and so light they might not provide me with enough support during run, but they were amazing.\nI am a ball of the foot / toe striker when run.\nRegular shoe size is 8. Run shoes is 8.5 or 9. I kept 9 in these.\nWhen I took them for my first run, I was supposed to run at 9:15-9:30 min/mi but I ran at 8:50 min/mi with the same effort. I was unstoppable in them.\nThese are my new fancy race shoes. I had Mach X before, still do and love them too. Cielo X1 is definitely more cushiony, gives a bit more bounce. Ordered the M7.5/W8.5 and they fit very well. I probably could've sized down, but I prefer a roomier toe box. I've only worn these shoes once for a 7K easy run with anti blister, no cushion socks. I felt like a super hero running in them. The soles are amazingly bouncy and the shoes are very stable. They also feel great when walking :-))). I am glad I did not go on a longer run. These shoes will definitely need some breaking in. I have some issues. 1) Lack of proper foam around the heals. The foam pad is way too small and minimal, causing very painful rubbing against the shoe's fabric, just like wearing new high heel pumps with no band aids. 2) Unnecessary added plastic films that protects the lace eyelets, also very uncomfortable. 3) The laces have NO stretch. I ordered a US Men's size 9.5 and the fit is perfect. The upper of the shoe fits like a glove. I did not experience any hot spots or irritation during any of my runs. It is, as the reviews say that it is difficult and tight when you initially put your foot into the shoe but once it's in there it's secured. I am also happy to say that it came with normal shoelaces as opposed to the ribbon-type that everyone seems to be complaining about. \n The midsole is where all the magic is. It's soft yet responsive and bouncy. The combination of the soft and responsive midsole with its rocker geometry and the winged carbon fiber plate just makes you want to run fast even without trying. I am by no means a fast runner but this shoe always makes want to run faster than I normally should. Importantly, the outsole rubber is fantastic and had zero issues even when running on wet pavement. \n Unfortunately, the downsides of the Cieolo X1 is its weight. My men's size 9.5 came in at 9.0 ounces on both pairs. If this shoe is really intended for race day, it needs to shed more weight. Also, if there was one other improvement I would suggest it would be to have a one-piece midsole instead of a deconstructed one for a more natural feel underfoot. The bounce and energy return feels so good. Took it out for my half marathon time trial and they did what I needed them to do. Was concerned about the fit on the upper - I have a wide foot but playing with the lacing fixed it up. Really wished there was a wider foot option for these kind of race shoes. Got my normal size and it's a snug fit but if u can get the lacing figured out you'll be fine. \n\nI know people have mentioned the weight being a detractor but I didn't really feel as tho they were that much heavier than my Mach 6s.
