Condition the striking surface as needed using the included scouring pad to get your preferred sounds. See technique tips below.

For the best results:
Make sure the call is appropriately conditioned with the included scouring pad.
Hold the call away from your body; cup it between your index finger and thumb.
Hold the striker like a pencil at a 70-degree angle to call; rest your other fingers solidly against the call.
Apply light pressure from the striker when calling.
