I was not impressed with the range finding Binoculars. I spent a career looking through high end optics and eventually evaluating and purchasing top quality microscopes for the State Police Forensic Science Division. I did not have an opportunity to fully evaluate the binoculars optical quality as the range finding function did not work right out of the box. \nI was less impressed by the customer service requiring me to ship it back to them paid by me. I was even less impressed that my refund was less my original shipping charge. I have had recent interaction with Burris Optics with a six year old scope. They replaced it no questions asked paid return shipping both ways. In the end I purchased their range finding binoculars for less money. Just remember these do not have adjustable magnification so it is set at 10 power. It would be nice if you could dial it up to 30 and use a for range spotting also. The digital read out is very very cryptic and you are guessing as what it is telling you. I actually like the weight of them too because they are stabile even when you’re getting hit with some wind. The range system is what you would expect from leupold with lots of math in the software. They are very accurate and being on a bino platform has been super nice. Most of the western spot and stalk hunts you have to be able to range a individual tine on an animal even if they are bedded in brush. It’s certainly not always as cut and dry as a wide open range on the body. With the range system in this bino platform you can focus through it all and range with pinpoint accuracy. It’s came in clutch for me in many situations. This is my 3rd season with the BX platform and I won’t change now.
