Muscle car of scopes
Used a vx2 3-9x40 for over 10 years and it never let me down or lost zero. Recently upgraded to this scope and I'm absolutely blown away by its capabilities.

This is a relatively compact scope but provides great features - superior - resolution, performance in poor light, easy mounting, accurate adjustments. It is mounted on a Ruger M77 MKII with a custom McGowen 6.5X47 Lapua 1-8 barrel. Using Leupold medium height 30mm rings intended for the Ruger M77 it fits just fine on this rifle that has a high comb roll over stock with perfect eye relief. Shooting at 300 yards under poor light, cold, and gusty winds @ 10 o'clock I was able to place hits on steel within 1-2 inches of intended using the wind-plex reticle having 1 moa gradations. I use primarily the 123 grain Hornady 6.5 ELD match bullet and 123 SST with Re15 - this is my general purpose, go to rifle. A CDS dial will be ordered when I figure out how fast it shoots and how well the 123 ELD will kill deer.
