I've only used it a few times, but its very simple to use. I quickly learned how to turn on/off displays to get the view I wanted. Camera worked really well. It was nice to have the 360 switch to slowly turn the camera under water hands free.
If you want camera and flasher option then this unit is for you. Works amazing. If you don't need/want the camera, go with the LX-7. The other review talking about hole hopping...well all I do is hole hop and it works just as good as my LX-3tci did. No problem whatsoever. It's bigger than my LX-3 but just as easy to move around with. There's a strap and a hand hold spot in the back that you can grab and go with as long as you're not using the camera. The unit has a ton of different viewing options from vertical graph, traditional flasher, and a graph with scrolling history. You can use multiple views and different zoom options for each.
