Maruto’s Open-Siwash hook features the patented ridged Better Barbless hook point. The unique “ridges” hold on to fish more effectively than traditional non-ridged barbless hooks when consistent pressure is applied during the retrieve of the fish. The pressure and the ridges help secure a better grip on the catch, providing anglers an advantage to retrieve catches at a higher success rate. With the catch secured and the pressure of the retrieve off, the ridged hooks of Maruto's Better Barbless are easily removed from the fish with little or no tissue damage much like a non-ridged traditional barbless hook.
