The Aftco Solago sun protection fishing gloves feature UPF 50 sun protection from the wrist to the mid-finger, while still having an open palm and fingertips, which allow ultimate sensitivity, bite detection and rigging dexterity. The ultra-lightweight Sensi-Tech palm material and open-palm design is made for detecting the slightest bite vibrations through the reel's side plate or through the rod handle. These fishing sun gloves are ideal for all types of light tackle fresh and saltwater fishing situations where sun protection and bite detection are critical to the angler.
I’ve had these gloves for a little bit now and they fit perfectly, are extremely comfortable, and if you are a bass fishermen or anyone who constantly makes cast you need these. They also keep your hands protected from he sun which is another plus.
Got a pair of Solago Sun gloves from my wife for Christmas and told her I wear a large, they were a little tight. decided to exchange them for an extra large after using the measuring guide on the card the gloves were attached to. AFTCO printed a postage paid return label for me and then Fedexed my new pair in 2 days, WOW that's customer service!! The new pair fits perfect and first time customer I will be a repeat customer. Now that I know my size in these I will order a couple more pairs as I use UPF long sleeve shirts, and hat as I dislike sunscreen. looking forward to wearing them this Spring after the ice melts. YES I would recommend AFTCO to all my friends
I have owned many different types of sun gloves, my favorite are the simpler ones that are not to fancy. AFTCO, Solano sun gloves Has the open palm to feel the sensitivity of the rod handle. And covers past the wrist thats gives me the protection from the sun iam looking for. They look fancy, but yet simple. Great design, fits perfectly.
They are very thin so as advertised more of a sun blocker type glove, not for warmth. I still use in Alabama winter months (mild cold) when running boat as a wind blocker. I have medium to small hands and the medium size fits snug.
I just used these gloves for the 1st time on 07042020 the temperature on the water was 94°/ heat index of 99°. No sunburn on hands, dexterity great, abd dries super quick, love the open palm! Highly recommend this product.
Love these! My hands would get so chapped and sunburned out Kokanee fishing all day in the sun that they literally hurt for days after. These gloves completely take care of that issue and fit so well and snug that I hardly know I even have them on. AFTCO makes terrific products for fisherman and I will be purchasing more of their great products in the future!
The Solago sun gloves seem to be great fishing gloves, however I’m a tournament angler and am constantly handling fish. I was disappointed that the palms were both open. When handling fish constantly the open cut outs expose the angler to being”spined “ by thrashing fish.Otherwise they’re Great
I have several pair of sun gloves from different companies. I appreciate all my other AFTCO products so decided to try these. I must say they seem to fit my hand the best to the point I don’t know they’re on. No knot tying issues and good gripping on rods and fish. No disappointments.
Even when I think to put sunscreen on, I always forget my hands. All day in the boat and they start to sizzle. These gloves solve that problem. Finger cuts give you full control with terminal tackle and there are even slip resistant pads on the palms and thumb for gripping fish. Plus they look good with my BARRACUDA GEO COOL™ HOODED LS PERFORMANCE SHIRT.
Of course I picked the items so I knew going in I had a chance to score a winner. But that's just it with AFTCO, they buy right so you can buy right. I've been a customer so long I hate to think about it. lol it give me an old shiver. AFTCO is trust worthy too, if you aren't satisfied, they make it right. Pete
These are very stylish gloves, quick drying and easy on off which is not typical for some of these gloves. I’m not thrilled with the open palm as I find it getting caught on some of my gear when I’m fishing. That can cost you a catch if say you go to adjust your drag quickly once hooked up and the glove gets hung on your crank handle or star drag.
I have several pair of fishing gloves and these are the best all around fishing gloves. The have a open palm which gives you extra gripping power. The fingers are just past your knuckles so it keeps your fingers warm in the north windy conditions and you don’t have to wear the full finger gloves so you can feel your line. These are a pair of gloves you want to try.
Love the gloves but after a few days of using them the grip material comes off. They are still the best gloves that i have found to keep the sun off my hands yet still be able to feel the reel and line.
I have tried a lot of different type gloves, and I can a honestly the Solago is the best! They are easy to get on and off and fit snug to your hand and wrist. Grip is awesome and dry very quick. If you don't have a pair you are missing out. Michael,Ga.
Once you except that we all need to start wearing them to protect ourselves, this is the best I’ve found for sun protection fishing gloves. Wear easy and you don’t even know they are on after a little bit. Wear them and enjoy the sunshine!
