Not worth on sustainability & durability
I bought GT-2000 9 in Nov 2020.
Net/ Fabric at front of the shoe teared.
We buy Asics to run not to use them occasionally. They must be durable on field.
Within 1 year if fabric get wear then what is the use of buying Asics?

Great Shoe, Poor Fabric
These are very comfortable shoes to walk or run in and I highly recommend them with one reservation. I walk daily for over an hour, sometimes briefly jogging, and I've never had any problems with the fit or feel nor have I experienced any foot pain. However, after 20 days of wearing these new shoes I noticed a hole starting to appear in the top front of each shoe. When I looked more closely, this is exactly where my big toes lift up on the fabric as I walk. At first the holes were hardly noticeable but within the next 10 days I noticed the fabric underneath had worn through so now it’s just a matter of time before my big toes pop through the outer layer of fabric. I really love the look and comfort of these shoes so I’m really torn about how I feel about these shoes. Someone suggested I put some duct tape on the inside of the shoe were the hole is to prevent the holes getting any bigger. For the price of these shoes, I shouldn’t have to use duct tape to prevent holes in the fabric. Luckily, Potomac River Running, the store where I purchased them from, agreed to refund my money. They suggested I order the same shoe except with Knit fabric. They didn’t carry that shoe so I had to order directly from Asics. The Knit shoe has only two color options so already disappointed. Let's hope the Knit shoe holds up much better than the regular one.

Poor quality and poorly designed
A hole started appearing in the toe of each shoe after less then a month of use. They have become embarrassing to wear. It is an obvious design flaw that needs to be addressed.

Fantastic, as usual.
I have been running in ASICS GT shoes for over 20 years. Through that time they have continued to improve while mostly remaining true to the line in terms of design, fit and purpose. This actually changed a few years ago when the GT 1000 went off the rails and morphed into a completely different shoe. (The reduced the heal/toe drop, changed the sole design and made a bunch of other changes. I wrote a couple scathing reviews about that shoe, not because it was terrible, but because it shouldn't have been a GT. Sadly the GT 1000 has continued down that path. But the good news is that the GT 2000 remains true to it's history. If you liked the GT line all along you're going to like this shoe. You're going to fit in this shoe. And you will be impressed by all the improvements to materials, weight, etc. I run 10-20 miles per week and these have been holding up great over the first month or two.

Light and supportive
Just got these and first impressions are:
- Nice looking offering for a 4E width, love the orange pop on the rubber
- Great fit and cushioning
- The laces aren't long enough to do a heel lock racers loop, so why even have the extra hole then?
- Tongue is so big. It is brushing against the opposing foot during running. I can literally feel it catching the wind and slowing me down. ASICS, please stop making drag-chutes for tongues - they can be padding just make them a little more sleek, and not like a 1980s reebok pumps high-top tongue.
