The gloves overall are good they are comfortable and the gel has adequate cushioning, I use them for cycling short distances and believe they will be good for those long distance rides as well. The only draw back is they run a little small I usually take a large which I bought andI purchased online so didn't feel like going through the process of returning so they are a little snug but not super tight. I ride in Florida and it is pretty hot and so far when riding my hands remain dry, which was the main reason I purchased my hands would get hot and sweaty and slip on handle bars, but not anymore.
I bought these because I liked the idea of the padding not being bulky in the palm. I figured they would be more comfortable. My hunch was right. I had been using Specialized Grail gloves. While they are comfortable, these are better. Super comfortable, padding in the right places, and not bulky. No seams to irritate either. I also like the reflective strip on the back. I got the yellow for my green Emonda ALR 5, but I really want a red pair for my other bike (black and red Emonda S5). I'll order some when they are in stock again. These are my new favorites.
Used for road cycling with both thin or cork bar tape. Low-profile padding just enough to prevent numbness but provide road feel and easy grip on bars. I'd prefer a thicker, more absorbent sweat wipe area on the thumb.
