I've ordered Brooks in size 12 for the last ~10 years. For this purchase, I first ordered a 12, then a 13, and finally ended upw with a size 14 just to get something that fit. The new 12 and 13 sizes that I ordered were visibly smaller than my old 12s. The insole is rubber and looks very similar to the insole on the Beast. Also, the weight and midsole drop are nearly identical. So I find the Addiction GTS 15 to mirror the comfort of the Beast. Although I think these Addictions look nice, I like the look of the Beast better. It is noteworthy, however that the Addiction GTS 15 is at a slightly lower price point. Finally, and most importantly for me, the Addiction is available in an Extra Wide width! (As well as the Beast and a couple of other styles that Brooks offers). I cannot wear any other width. Measuring the inside of the shoe, using both the insoles with a tape measure, the Addiction GTS 15 is almost 1/4 inch shorter from the back heel (the point where the insole starts to curve up) to the toe. My big toe pushes up against the top and my toes are a bit cramped whereas that didn't happen with the same size shoe in the Ghost and Adrenaline.\n\nGreat support and quality shoe. I like the cloth protection coating on the toe and the firmer sole. It is the shoe to buy if squishy-soled shoes (Ghost and the latest Adrenaline) hurt your feet like they do mine, it just runs smaller so I recommend sizing up 1/2 size. Unfortunately they don't make half sizes in my range.
