Comfortable shoe but quality is lacking. I’ve worn this specific shoe maybe 6 times (total of 10 miles) and the tread/sole is already peeling away. For the price it is not worth it. I’ve owned 10+ pairs of Brooks and they continue to get more expensive but quality isn’t getting better.
I went away from the Adrenaline and after not finding the support and comfort I was used to I came back! I love them so much I bought 2 more pair!! I use one for casual wear and the other for working out.
Very comfortable shoes. I am on my feet 13 hours a day at work and these shoes provide great support and cushion. I would definitely recommend them! Compared to the Ghost they seem a bit bulkier and the heel rise seems a bit higher. All depends on what you like!
I love the shoes but the white pair I recently bought is starting to separate at the toe on the inside. I've only run in the about 5 or so times. I've had many pairs in the past and never experienced this. They are ok but I can feel it in the toe when I run.
Podiatrist recommended to overcome the pain of a callus
I bought these shoes because a podiatrist recommended I get Brooks Running Shoes to protect a callus under a toe. The Podiatrist inserted a 'U" cut -out in a pad under the sole. These shoes are very comfortable. I don't feel the callus even while jogging. Great!
Like many, I was a huge fan of the Adrenaline GTS 18 and found the GTS 19 to be a step down. It feels a half size too big and the support actually hurt my ankle. The width was perfect but the shoe felt like it was turning my feet slightly inward. Thank goodness for the excellent return policy. I exchanged these for the GTS 20. Hopefully the 19 was just a fluke!
I have been a fan of the Adrenaline for several years, and the 19s do not disappoint. I love the response, the feel and the ease the miles go by. Truly a great distance shoe, ALWAYS trusted for half marathons and any race distance.
This is my second pair of GTS 19. I tried to order the GTS 20 and found out they were no longer available in the wide sizes 2E or 4E. So my GTS 19s are a great shoe, i wear them all year long. They are my everyday shoes. My concern is what happens when I can no longer find the GTS19s in the future. I hate to change brands because Brooks no longer provides the size that I require (8.5 4E).
Curious, both the black and white pair's laces are quickly stretching to the point I need to do a double knot to avoid tripping over them. I'm also noticing some wear on the fabric and sides that seems rather premature. There is bleeding through of (black) color at the base of my white pair. I've been getting Adrenaline' for over 15 years and this is the first time I've noticed things like that so early.
The 19 shown has been very good to date - it has the stability I need, keeping my foot in a neutral position quite well; the shoe also hold it's form; it seems to be wearing as expected, although I see that the black bottom layer no longer says "flextra". Has material changed, and what is the expected life if it has been changed? Al in all a good shoe. (Not enough miles to date to really analyze. Justin Hartinger was a great help with one pair of 19s that had a sizing problem; great support, thank you.
I didn’t realize the toe box in the adrenalines would break down so easily. We have two pair of these I purchased that have not been woren yet. I really should evaluate whether to keep them or not. Our son does have inserts for arch support so that will help with support since I think the 2019 adrenalines are not as durable as the previous year adrenalines we have bought for him.
First, I want to say Brooks gave me a discount offer because they could not fill an order I had placed for a Christmas. I was so ecstatic and ordered a pair of adrenalines for each of my children and two pair for my youngest. I loved my 2017 adrenalines so much that I ordered two pair for myself. Well, in an effort to improve the 2019 adrenalines I believe the shoe is just not as durable or quality as far as support. I am trying to make mine work, but keep looking at my old ones and wishing I could find more of them. I appreciate your company and hope to purchase another pair like my oldies someday in the future.
I'm on my 4th pair of Adrenaline 19's and about to purchase another pair. i love these shoes. Love putting them on for my runs. I run about 40 miles a week and can't see myself purchasing any other running shoe. I'm glad my nephew introduced me to these shoes.
