The material used for the laces on the Adrenaline GTS 23 is VERY cheap. They are not made of the usual shoe lace material (cloth/string?) but is instead some incredibly slick material that constantly becomes untied no matter how tight I tie the knot. The first couple of times they became untied, I thought I had just not tied the knot tight enough. However, at that point I started paying attention to how tight I tied the knot, but they still came untied. \n\nI know this sounds crazy and trivial, but it's incredibly annoying. For a $100+ shoe, I would expect better quality.\n\nI have purchased the Adrenaline style going back to the GTS 7. I don't but a new pair each year, but perhaps every two years, so I do not know when they changed the type of laces used. Otherwise, it's a very good shoe.\n\nI never gave a second thought about shoe laces until this pair of Adrenaline GTS 23. Add the cost of a pair of shoe laces to the price of the shoes. The cushioning is not 100% relief, but does help. I have found that I have to wear the shoes almost daily so my feet adjust to them, otherwise my Plantar pains come back about 10 minutes into a run. I bought the bright yellow, so at least I look fast ( until someone actually sees me run).
