I’m a big Books fan, so of course I love these shoes. This is my second pair of Ghost 12s, and my sixth pair of Ghosts. They look great, have good cushion, good construction, and nice reflective details. I now also have a pair of Launch 7s. The Launch feels faster, but the Ghost has far more cushion.
These are the first running shoes I’ve ever bought (as suggested by a friend that’s trying to get me to start running) so I’m no expert by any means, but these are extremely comfortable and do the job very well. I have no complaints whatsoever and I’m sure you won’t either :)
This was my second pair of Ghost 12s. The fit was right and the cushions were supportive. After walking in them for a week there was some discomfort on my shins and ankles. I’ve had ghost 9-12 and other brooks brands primarily for walking and running. I felt the 9s were the best and most durable. I got a second pair of 12s just to make sure. I’m losei g more confidence in the ghosts brand.
This is my second pair of Ghosts, and they fit perfectly right out of the box. I use them mainly for walking and working out on a daily basis, and they could not be better for this with just the right amount of support. Brooks’s service and products are top rate. I can always rely on sizing with the added assurance of their very generous return policy if things don’t work out.
Full Disclosure: I only run if being chased. That said, I still love these shoes for walking, weight lifting, as well as using on my elliptical. They were suggested for me after a gait analysis around 3 years ago. The Ghost 12s are my third pair and I LOVE them. They are easily the most comfortable athletic shoe I’ve ever worn, and they help immensely with my moderate pronation.
I took a chance on the Brooks 12 after being a loyalist with another brand forever. The inside is plush; the kind of shoe one would want to wear all day. The heel cup is snug without binding, which is a main issue with me - I have a narrow heel so most brands have a loose heel cup. The toe box is roomy, as is the forefoot. I am used to a more snug, sock-like fit in the other brand so the extra room takes a bit to get used to, but feels good on longer runs. They run a bit warm for me, and always seem damp after a run (5am), but I sweat a LOT and live in a humid climate. These should be good come winter. The run is solid - not overy plush and spongy, and not hard or harsh; you can feel the gound but it doesn't wear you feet out. The tread seems like it will last for 400+ miles. I have about 75 in right now, and aside form being dirty, there is no visible wear. Overall, I am glad I took a chance and am happy with the Ghost 12.
Great running shoe that offers great support without the weight. A+ road running shoe.
Great shoe, first time I wore Brooks but many of my running friends swear by them and thought I would give it a shot...coming from Salomon shoes and having a WIDE toe box, I was SUPER happy with the comfort and support they offered during runs...right out of the box. They are surprisingly sturdy for their weight. My new favorite running shoe hands down....and great customer service from Brooks....they have a new long-time customer now.
I am a long-term Nike Pegasus runner, but it seems as though they have minimalized the design to the point making the shoe too insignificant to be useful. My partner is a Ghost runner and i really liked the design, so gave them a try. I now have over a hundred miles on them and I'm sold. The toe box is roomy without being sloppy, the padded tongue is very comfortable, and the padding around the top is also very nice. I've already ordered a second pair.
My reason for buying this shoe is for everyday wear, I'm not a runner. More importantly, I bought these for fit. I need a roomy toe box and a narrow heel which, is difficult to find. These fit me well.
I underpronate (supinate) when I walk. These are the only shoe that wears even as they get older. I enjoy the support and cushion when they are new, but the cushion doesn't last as long as the tread does. I usually have to buy new inserts before I retire the shoe completely.
Priced right. Relatively comfortable. Run just a little bit small (which is unusual for the ghost). The first pair of ghost I owned were the 9’s. Best sneaker I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately, the ghost sneaks have steadily declined.
I have likely had 10+ pairs of the ghost shoe over the years and as always, each version gets a little better. Great support. Lightweight running shoe. The 12 has a more stable tongue vs the 11, meaning it doesn’t slide off to the side during long runs. Overall, an excellent running shoe.
I bought this for my husband and I this first pair of ghost. He wears them for everyday run and long runs, and he loves it. His shoe size is 10.5 and I bought size 11 for him. Fits really well. Highly recommended.
After running in Ghosts and Launch for 10+ years, I switched brands after finding a need to something new and a nice fit. A year later, I'm back to the Brooks family and the Ghost shoe --- why? Comfort, ride, glide and feel for the road are the top reasons. Mostly, they fit SO well I think the upper and toe box were formed from my foot! Glad to be back home.
