Last August I bought him a new pair to take with him when he left for Basic training for the Air Force National Guard. He said they were a life saver since he had to run so many miles. No blisters and they held up really good for the support he needed. I bought him a new pair for a Christmas gift when he gets home for Exodus from tech school. Heels slip with every step. Last years model was much better so I’m going to try and find a new pair of 21s. Sounds like brooks screwed with the heels on all models and most people hate them. I was focused on getting the beat cushioning for my feet. Glycerin 22 was perfect. Not too soft to make it jnstable but soft enough to provide comfort to my plantar fasciitis. \nThe size/width is perfect as well. I wanted a dark sole so i went with the black one. It’s extremely comfortable, with a wide toe box and great breathability. It’s not the best shoe for wet conditions, but honestly, very few running shoes are. One thing to note with the newest version, though: the added padding has changed the fit. I’ve worn a 9.5 for years, but in this model I had to go up a half size.
