While the cushioning is fine, the toe box feels compressed. I spent the summer training for a marathon and I kept getting blisters and bruised toes with the 22’s. I switched to a pair of 21’s that I found through an online retailer and the issues went away. I find myself having less foot pain and even knee pain when I wear these compared to other shoes I wear on occasions now. Highly recommend giving these a look if they are in your recommendations for fit. First pair was normal width, had to return them for a wide width, that process was completely easy and no questions asked of me. Unfortunately, the Glycerin 22 GTS has been a bit of a disappointment. The cushioning is wonderful but I have had a recurring problem with the dark blue (my favorite color) with right lateral foot discomfort even with a custom insert (worn with all of them). Interestingly enough, this has not occurred with the light colored one which perplexes me since this discomfort has occurred in two of the dark blue ones. Both the dark blue and the light neutral colored ones are made in the same location so it's unlikely to be related to the manufacturing location.\n\nDespite these concerns, customer support has been stellar by accepting the most recent dark blue ones back for a full refund and offering me a discount on another color. It would be nice to have a better variety of colors but so be it.
