I haven't ran in Brooks since the Trance circa 2009. Since then I've been using Kayanos. But my Kayano 28 is finally wearing out. I decided to get fitted at my local running shoe store. I don't care for the high stack trend of running shoes because I prefer to feel the ground. But high stack shoes seem to be the only option. I tried on the Adrenaline GTS 24 which felt extremely comfortable for walking, but not that good on the store's treadmill. The Glycerin GTS 22 was less comfortable for walking but felt great on the treadmill. Besides having flat feet they are also narrow. And the Glycerin GTS 22 fit like a glove!! I've had two runs in them so far and am liking them more each day. I understand what people mean when they say this shoe is made for comfort, not speed. But that's fine by me, I'll take a comfortable ride 7 days a week!! I have zero regrets buying them. I received these as a birthday gift because I thought the GTS feature would help give extra support in both my feet and back but I do NOT recommend them if you have either. These would do great for someone that has high arches and needs that extra support for things like ankle rolling. The only reasons I gave them two stars instead of one: the rest of the shoe fits great (toe box and I love the heel cup and flexy material around that), also I love this color combo. All the other parts fit my foot and perform like I like but that added support makes me not want to wear these at all.
