The back of the boot with the hard rubber cover is very nice and the steel toe is great, but the leather on the toe of the boot tears very easily and quickly as does the rubber on the bottom of the boot. I understand leather tears, but hopefully there is a way to make it a little stronger and prolong its life. And like I said the bottom gets holes in it very easily. These have stayed together, not rotted out or started tearing away from the sole....or the side not tearing thru... these have held up very well compared to all the other boots he's gone thru. Most of the time we are buying boots every 6 months or so... these have last 2 years until the one just had to be cut off him this last week due to the accident.
