I have worn these pants for years and needed new ones because my others finally just flat worn out. I buy these mainly because of the pocket on the right leg, it's ideal for carrying my cell phone, BUT on these new ones the pocket is smaller than my older ones. Can barely get the phone in them. Pocket needs to be slightly larger in order to carry a phone with a protective cover on it. It was no problem in my old pants but is in these new ones. Other than that, great pants.
These are the pants I wear when I can't wear shorts. They're light, Airy, and very durable. The pockets are deep for a large cell phone, they don't Bunch up and push my boxers where they don't need to be while I'm working, and the two utility Pockets left and right are very handy. I find them very durable 4 lightweight canvas pants they don't make you sweat horribly. I wear the Khaki ones for dress pants regularly until they get a few stains on them then they go back to work. I'm pretty cheap, most of my work pants come from thrift shops but I have no problem spending a few dollars for the quality and comfort of these. Very much recommended.
Pants are very comfortable, but they are absolutely the longest 30-inch inseams I've ever seen. I need to get about 4 inches hemmed for them to not drag in the dirt. Fat guys don't wear their pants the same way everyone else does: they sit a lot lower.
Also, just because the waist needs to be bigger doesn't mean the legs have to scale up with the waist. I could wear two pairs of sweatpants under these Carhartts with room to spare.
But! Very comfortable, I like all the pockets. Pretty good.
My husband wears these particular works pants year round and I have ordered from Carthartt directly in the past. This time both pairs (navy & gray/slate) are longer than ordered. I ordered a 32 inch length and they measure close to 34, since he already took tags off and started wearing he is stuck with these but please be aware.
These pants are great for my line of work as a field service engineer on medical electronics. Very comfortable and durable. The only negative I have noticed is that there seems to be a pretty large inconsistency in the lengths.
I have worn these pants for several years and they are my daily pant for work or social functions. My only problem with them is not for the pants, but for the fact that they always come in with the leg length about 4"-6" longer than what I order. This mean that after I purchase the pants, I have to pay to have them altered. To me this is a quality control issue. The QC manager needs to be given a good talking to.
Best work pants ever. Own several pairs. Love the light weight fabric. The sleeve holster between right front & rear pockets is the biggest hit - Use it to store the side clipped pocket knives so your pockets are free. Would be nice if Carhartt would put another sleeve holster on the left side too for side clipped flashlights. Now Carhartt, Please don't ever discontinue these ever! Kudos to ya!
These are the most comfortable and best fitted pants that I have ever owned. Been wearing them for at least 10 years. I love the way they look and feel. I have older pairs for work and play and newer ones for casual dress at dances and church events. They have a great loose fit and warm for those 40 and 50 degree mornings when playing tennis here in Florida. The rear pockets are well placed so I never sit on my wallet. I highly recommend these pants.
These pants fit me really well, have plenty of pockets, and last a really long time for me with daily use. Also, Carhartt has been great about providing me with materials to patch holes that open up in them with use.
Feels like I'm in the 70's wearing a pair of bell bottoms, the pant leg openings are way to big. I use these pants with my size 14 EEE Red Wing pull one and the pant leg openings basically cover almost all but the steel toe part of my boots. The waist fits me perfect and theirs a lot of room in the hip and thigh as it is a loose fit but the inseam is at least 3 inches too long. I'm 6'1 and have purchased 32 inch inseam for every single pair of jeans or slacks or pants since forever and it seams Carhartt's uses a different measuring tool as I have to roll my pants up and have to have it hemmed.
