Super hardy and warm! I like the fit too. I'm 6'3" and 270lbs and went with the XL Tall. Fit is roomy enough to layer yet streamlined enough to not look bulky. For the first time in my life the sleeves are a little too long. I like the draft busting elastic inner sleeve but the outer gets wet and soapy when I wash my hands. It's a small annoyance but hardly shadows an otherwise great jacket. The hand pockets are warm and roomy. There's plenty of useful pockets throughout. I really dig the hardiness of the Cordura parts. You can tell this jacket is made for work.

Fit well, is extremely comfortable and warm. Love the "stretch" features built into the back of it. I'm 6'2" 240lbs and got the XL

This coat is very tight on the front of the armpits. The length of the arms and coat tail are good. The hood is a little too tall, and not long enough on the brim but thats manageable. The worst part is the armpits and chest stitching. It is supposed to be "free swinging" but you are not going to get any swinging done without pinches in ever swing. Even just standing you have to constantly pull the coat out of your armpits. If you have any shoulders at all, make sure you get a large, or even bigger. I can't zip it up wearing any type of hoodie underneath either without sacrificing maneuverability. Usually Carhartts run big, so I ordered a (M). What a mistake! This coat is such a bummer. Huge loss to my wallet, and I cant even wear it without looking ridiculous. Oh and by the way, CRAZY LINT MAGNET. If hairs, lint, straw, vegetation pieces, flakes, anything bother you on your coat stay away. This thing attracts it like crazy! Its also very hard to get the lint off with a lint roller (its the fabric). Im usually always happy with Carhartt, but this coat was a huge let down. Oh and if you notice in the picture, kind of bulky around the man's belly right? Its the way the pockets or stitched on. It makes your belly look bigger / wider than it is from a front view. Coat now hangs useless.

I tried this jacket on at the store in Grand Forks, ND and it’s a wonderful jacket. Warm, durable, extra length in the back, everything I could ask for in a winter jacket. The problem was I’m 5’7” and 170 lbs so I needed a large, but then the sleeves are way, way too long. I thought about having it tailored to shorten the sleeves but the way it’s built limited that option. Carhart offers a large tall option but I wish Carhart offered a large-short option. It’s a great coat but you need monkey arms to be sure it fits.

Warm coat despite it's light weight. Water and wind resistant. Wish it had larger interior chest pockets and zippered or rain flapped outer pockets.

Great jacket. Very functional when working outside. Water repellent works well.

I've been wearing Carhartt garments since Ms. Valade was in high school. This one is my favorite. It is a great jacket. The Full Swing feature is fantastic. The large hood is very convenient, as it holds my hard hat to my head. The water-repellant coating has remained for months, despite repeated washings, snow showers & rain showers. And, it is warm, but not hot, in a very wide range of temperatures.
Regarding temperatures, I can wear this with a tee shirt from abut 60-F to 30-F. Below 30-F, I add a flannel shirt or denim shirt. Below about 10-F, a tee shirt & sweatshirt are fine. Below about (-)5-F, I wear the Carhartt Ranch Coat. I never am too hot, nor too cold. It's a great wind stopper, too.

Fit is different than my other Carhartt jackets & coats. This one has very long sleeves. But, the lower portion is free of the shell, so I tuck those inside. It's got plenty roomy for swinging- hence the name. I'd change the inside pockets, eliminating the goofy, angled inside pocket for another junk-bucket pocket. But that is purely opinion.

The outside phone pocket fits even my giant phone in a me-proof case. No other jackets have fit it yet.
The main zipper works well, but it will fail, as do all Carhartt zippers made since the 1990's. They are the one weak point. And, they're inexpensive to replace.

What is my favorite feature? The cuffs and lower back (tail) are covered with Cordura, a "forever" fabric. They will never, ever wear out. You can't abrade your way through if you tried- as we did on some samples. (I've had to junk jackets due to cuff & tail wear-through.)

My least favorite features- The Velcro type closure on the inside pocket. It is hard to pull open & the stitching failed the first week because the Velcro type stuff is stronger than the threads. And, I'm not a fan of the little zipper pull on the phone pocket. It gets lost in the zipper cover. I put a tiny keyring on the pull & the problem is solved.

Neither of the problems are worth taking away a star. I hope they continue to make this jacket so others can benefit from it's durability & design. I won't have to because it's made so well that the jacket will out live me.

It is a great jacket, it is plenty warm. I originally got a Large, but after trying it on took it back and ordered a large tall so the jacket would be a little longer. But other than that I am very happy with my purchase.

I like it a lot. It’s warmer and lighter than the old style jackets and for sure waterproof . Very comfortable and fits perfectly. Only thing I would add is deeper Velcro pocket inside on the left like the old jacket.

Love this jacket, though I do wish the cuffs were adjustable. This jacket is really well built and warm. It fits true to size, not too baggy.

Jacket feels sturdy and appears well made. Jacket is water resistant as tested in Pacific Northwest Rainy season. Jacket is warm and comfortable. All zippers and snaps appear to be sturdily made with snaps matching up easily.

This jacket is wonderful. Warm, no binding, decent weight, love everything about it.

It's my go to for jumping into the plow truck when I might have to break out the shovel! I run very hot (all the time) and I think that this is a great jacket for me so far. Sweating in it doesn't feel damp or sticky. Thank you Carhartt!

My ONLY piece of feedback is it needs a screwdriver pocket on the outside/arm. Not a complaint, but would be nice to have it externally.

Bought for my husband. He loves the fit, says it doesn’t bunch up in mid section when he sits and is able to move his arms freely while working. Do wish it was a bit warmer but it is still very warm. It probably would be fine if he was working outside instead of just standing in the cold!

I highly recommend the "Full Swing" line! The flex & comfort is unrivaled! I'm a woman & in the past, i've never been a fan of Carhartt jackets. I found them too bulky & stiff but i purchased these for the guys in our office (& one for myself) for Christmas & they're great! The Full Swing "technology" really makes a huge difference, i have yet to feel restricted when trying to do anything. I deducted a star from appearance due to the little metal grommets on the pockets... i think the jacket would look nicer without them but that's personal preference. The pockets are nice & roomy & i love that the hood is detachable.

Warmest jacket i have ever owned.

the most comfortable work jacket I have every had. with the full swing I don't have the normal stuck and restricted feeling that I have had with every work jacket before

This jacket is amazing, it was delivered this morning and I've been wearing it all day! Fit is perfect and so far its been really warm in Temps in the upper 30's. They run big so I ordered a lt . (Usually a xlt)

Great fit, definitely keeps you warm while working, and the arms or waist never pull up or bunch up on you. So all in all it’s an excellent coat for a great price.

Great fit and VERY warm. The arms are a little long, but i imagine it's because i ordered a "Tall". Very nice jacket and super durable. Would definitely buy again.

This turned out to be the perfect coat. I even bought another for my son. It's well made and the design very functional. Pay a little more to get the very best.

I have had this jacket for a few weeks the build quality is good. Only thing that I wish is that sizing was better. I am 5’-5” and order a medium the jacket fits but the arms are a little long. I think carhartt is doing a great job bring out the full swing jacket and it is a jacket that does not restrict your movement but wish the sizing was like medium short not everyone is 6’ tall

Really nice jacket and I really wanted to love it. I received this just in time for my fiancé to wear at work after an I’ve storm hit and left thousands without electricity. He had to work a lot of overtime to cut down limbs to assist get people’s power back on. He loved it and he said it was comfortable and kept him warm and dry. The only problem is the durability. The seam on the top corner pocket started to unravel and I don’t even know how that happened after only wearing it a few days even though this is a working mans jacket. I’m pretty upset that I gushed on and on how this would be a great jacket for work but the seams are already coming undone. Pretty disappointed.

Great Jacket!

This jacket is reminiscent of one my husband had over 5 years ago. It’s perfect to layer under and is durable. It is heavy weight but a great fitting jacket. I ordered his usual size in this brand and it was perfect knowing it would have room for layering. Has a pull string on the bottom to help with any belly bulge lol and cuffs inside the sleeves as well. He loves it and he is tough to buy for!
