Nice, heavy, warm. Also defective. Second one of these I purchased and same thing happened, little elastic pull that is used to tighten at waist stopped working, string still attached, just not doing it’s job. I couldn’t tell what causes it as I tried examining but kinda silly one of the coolest features on here wears out after 3-4 months. Maybe back to drawing board on that, won’t buy again. First time a product of theirs has failed me.
I have purchased two of these. One for work and the other for personal. It keeps me warm and dry in this MN cold weather. Real durable in the mud and snow. Highly recommend it. A given plus with the hood as well which I also own.
I received this sweatshirt as a gift. It is by far one of my favorite quarter zips I own. I love how it fits the warmth and the way it keeps me dry. It seems durable enough for my lifestyle and will take everything I throw at it. Probably going to be purchasing the hooded version soon. Very pleased
So this is second version we bought because first one was returned because the drawstring at bottom of sweatshirt broke. Same exact thing happened with the second one. I am thinking there is a product flaw here
My husband loved it. The only problem is I bought it for my son and i guess he wanted the Paxton rain defender with a hood. So my husband refuses to send it back, so i now have to order another one for my son.
A few years ago they sold this sweatshirt without the pockets. It is the best sweatshirt I've ever owned. Last year I purchased this type. Overall it is good but their are problems with the new design. They have added another piece of material behind the zipper to prevent wind from coming in, I'm assuming. This addition to the sweatshirt prevents the mock collar from being turned down when the shirt isn't zipped up. If you try to turn the collar down, the corner of the collar and zipper is basically right in front of your mouth...its horrible. The sweatshirt from the previous year didn't have that and the collar could be turned down and laid flat giving a nice appearance. Additionally the bottom of the sweatshirt had slits and the shirt sat nicely and didn't ride up on your stomach.
I own 2 of these quarter zip sweat shirts and I love them. What I like most about these sweat shirts is that they are built for the work environment. I used to work in expensive fleece jackets that were not heavy duty. These are perfect for construction or any outdoor work , and they are warm too.
True to the brand, one of the best pieces of outdoor clothing I’ve purchased to work in. Definitely recommend this product. Really like the ‘no hood’ attachment as most of the time it feels like I’m wearing a pillow around my neck. Really like this product and will definitely buy another.
I am replacing a 10 year old Carhartt of the same model number, which was still readable on the tag, that I use in the construction industry. I like that they have added pockets and it is a bit heavier. Fits well and can’t wait to use it, although I do not want to wish cold weather on us any sooner than it comes now.
Have a raggedy 20-year-old quarter-zip sweatshirt that has been falling apart for a while. After searching online for about three years - this is just what I need. Will order another next fall. Hopefully it will be available in dark green by then. Thank you.
My husband doesn't like hoodies and found this to be very nice with the collar. It also looks smart with a T-shirt underneath. Not having the rib-knit at the bottom makes it not so restrictive. We are very pleased with this and will buy another in a different color.
I just recently discovered these. Bought one in September in blue. Very warm, and looks nice enough to wear to meetings or out for the evening. Liked it so much I purchased the Grey one. Wore it to a Holiday party the other night. Rain defender feature really works- repels rain & snow very well. Wish there were more colors available.
