The Men's Carhartt Rain Defender Rockland Quilt-Lined Zip Hoodie is the toughest sweatshirt you'll have in your closet. This full-zip hoodie sweatshirt for men is made with a heavyweight cotton-blend that keeps you warm and Rain Defender technology that repels water so you won't be slowed down by light precipitation. There are two flap over handwarmer pockets on the front of this hoodie and even an internal map pocket so you can carry all your stuff on-the-go. Carhartt knows how to design clothing that will keep you warm, dry, and comfortable while you work, and the Men's Carhartt Rain Defender Rockland Quilt-Lined Zip Hoodie is no exception.
My husband looks awesome in this. It got too hot for his sherpa-lined Carhartt sweatshirt. The lining is very nice, not scratchy as some seem to be. It's perfect. I ordered a size smaller than usual, after reading the reviews, and the fit is perfect.
Overall best rain jacket i bought, no wooshing noisy jacket like the nylon junk the stores sell. Only improvement possible is having option to velcro close partially instead of running the zipper all the way from bottom to top to close the front when you dont need to .
Hoodie came and is of great quality! Can definitely tell it will last a long time. I am a medium size in most hoodies but with Carhartt it runs a bit large (an observation not a complaint) Next time when I get more of these I will get the small size which should fit great. All in all it is a great hoodie that should last years
Kees me warm and dry. Very comfortable. I absolutely love it. Haven’t worn it long enough to test durability yet but so far so good. The tall seem to be perfect fit but the large ran a bit big. Which I rather too big than too small when it comes to jackets.
I have had this hoodie for a month now. It is very comfortable, appears to be just as durable as several of my other Carhartt products and would highly recommend it. One of the nice things about this version is the entire interior lining is smooth. This allows for easy on and off of the hoodie. Much like a traditional jacket it will not grip on the clothes you are wearing. We have an outdoor ice rink that I am on daily for skating, shoveling, and top coating in the winter. I am outside on my property almost daily thru out the rest of the year and manage a remodeling company. This will all typically be done in this hoodie over just a t-shirt or sweatshirt depending on the temperature. It works very well. I'm 6'-1", 208 lbs. Fit but starting to fight the beer belly! I have the much older version of this hoodie and love it . Not a single thing wrong with it other than it has gotten pretty dirty. It is a light gray. No tears, no worn material, the zipper works perfect, all is well. When I decided it was time to have one that looked a bit better I called Carhartt directly to discuss the new version. I was assured this is it. This is a very nice hoodie I will have it for a very long time however while both my old and the new one are the size large the new one is just a bit more snug. I would not say it's a full size difference just snug . It is actually all around the fit. The hood, sleeves and body are all just a little smaller in the new one. This could be because the old one has relaxed (it is more than fifteen years old) I do however not feel that is the case. It has been washed several times, worn for hundreds of hours in all types of weather and situations. Interestingly it is in the range of motion that I find it most noticeable. I'm still going to note below that it is true to size as my guess is I would think the XL would be to big. Maybe it's just time to loose a few pounds. Overall still a solid Carhartt product.
It's my 'dress hoodie.' I can't seem to wear it in the shop or outside to do yard work. It's the best quality that I have and runs a little big. I wear a 48 jacket and the XL is a little roomy...but that's fine. The right pocket has a divider in it, which is a nice idea but fairly cumbersome when all you want to do is throw your keys in your pocket. Maybe that will get a little loose as we go....
This is my third Carhartt hooded sweatshirt. Still wear the other ones, just get a little stained or painted after awhile. I really like these quilted ones and cannot find them locally here. Real handy if your just going to run out and its 20 or 30 degrees. I Highly recommend them. I weigh 155 and bought a large so I could wear sweats under them . Perfect.
I totally recommend this zip-up style hoodie for anyone needing warmth outside in 30-50 degree weather! The quilt lining keeps you very snug. Its resistance to a light rain, rain drops bead up, allows it to dry very quickly!
It is heavyweight and excellent for cold temps. I love the sweatshirt, but for the second time, I have a stain right in the middle of the shirt that will not come out. I am not sure what it is, but I've tried most anything. Anything someone could suggest would be appreciated.
The only reason this isn't getting the full five stars is the sleeves are a tad bit short. I'm 6'2" @ 200# average build and ordered a size large. While driving or reaching for anything the cuff rides pretty well up my wrist. Not a huge deal but less than a perfect fit. Outside of that the jacket is surprisingly warm. Coupled with a good baselayer I've felt this hoody to be adequate in below freezing temps. The pockets are great and it is generally a comfortable jacket.
