The Men's Carhartt Rain Defender Rockland Quilt-Lined Zip Hoodie is the toughest sweatshirt you'll have in your closet. This full-zip hoodie sweatshirt for men is made with a heavyweight cotton-blend that keeps you warm and Rain Defender technology that repels water so you won't be slowed down by light precipitation. There are two flap over handwarmer pockets on the front of this hoodie and even an internal map pocket so you can carry all your stuff on-the-go. Carhartt knows how to design clothing that will keep you warm, dry, and comfortable while you work, and the Men's Carhartt Rain Defender Rockland Quilt-Lined Zip Hoodie is no exception.
i have used one at work, on walks, camping, shooting, even some yard work depending on the temp. always comfortable. easy on and off. the new one has upgraded pockets and more rain resistant. this style to me is the most versatile of any , perfect for cooland cold..
This is my fourth Carhartt hoodie over the years. It is my favorite of the four with exception to that annoying double pocket on the right side. I will purchase this again as required, but hope Carhartt gets rid of the extra pocket by then.
This is the second of these sweatshirts that I have ordered. The first one lasted for years. Actually, I'm getting a new one because I got paint on the old one, so it's not so nice in appearance as it use to be. I down graded one star on the functionality because of the new hidden pocket inside the main hand pocket. It gets in the way of the main pocket for hands, phone, keys or whatever. Other than that, great product.
The warmest hoodie I’ve ever owned, the materials feel like very high quality. It doesn’t get super cold in Houston but the days its gotten cold this hoodie has kept me warm. I just wish the carhartt logo was bigger!
I ordered the same size has my current Carhartt hoodie (4X), and it was too small. it was much tighter in the arms but fit the midsection fine. I had to send it back. I am sad though that Carhartt discontinued the type of hoodie I have now.
I bought one of these for use in early winter. So far it has been great. Pros-I love the full quilt. My arms slide in so easily in the sleeve. It has a relaxed fit for sure. The rain defender works well and I have personally used this in the below freezing weather(without wind) and have been fine.
Cons- The media pocket I had sewn up because it hindered putting my hand in the hand warmer pocket. Lets be honest the "map pocket" is really for your phone now days.
Absolutely love this jacket, which my son recommended to me. The quilted nylon lining inside makes getting it on an off a snap, especially in Winter when you normally wear bulkier clothing. Lots of storage pockets and love the extended zipper collar...keeps the cold out.
I purchased this coat to wear in the Wisconsin winter when it wasn't below freezing. It functions very well. The hood is wonderful for when it is raining or snowing and it has enough pockets to carry any normal amount of belongings. The wind doesn't get through either.
I love this hoodie. I wear it more than a jacket and I live in NY and work outside during the winter and it keeps me really warm. The only issue I have with the hoodie is that the airs aren’t lined with the same lining as the middle part of the hoodie so your arms can get cold or you feel the cold more. If this was completely lined you would never need a jacket. I shovel snow at home in this hoodie and I’m sweating. Besides that little thing with the arms this hoodie is a must buy. Like everything carhartt majority of the stuff runs bigger I’m usually a large but I get medium in everything from them.
...and boy oh boy does Carhartt ship fast! I have an old Carhartt thermal-lined. Still in service, I’ll never give it up. But it’s a little transparent to the wind for the coldest days so I ordered this one. Exactly right. The cuffs and butt band elastic are a little loose but I’m hoping a hot wash’ll tighten things up just like my oldie. I have a new friend. Thanks Carhartt. Always the best.
Would be 5 stars if the material behind the zipper did not catch in the zipper and eventually fray. It has made it very hard and frustrating to get in and out of. I purchased another through my company thinking my personal was a fluke but no, same problems. 0 stars, unacceptable on an 80+ dollar hoodie.
