Men's water-repellent, heavyweight sweatshirt for outdoor work.
Workday or weekend work, this men's zip-hoodie combines the familiar comfort and easy range of motion of a sweatshirt with the insulated feel of a jacket. It's made with a water-repellent coating, so you stay dry in light rain. Features:
Solid. Fits just like my last one that finally wore out after 7 years of abuse. Tip - work on the zipper, they are the weak link and generally fail first. Too, this new sweatshirt zipper seems a bit rough to zip, needs to be lubed with teflon spray or something.
Cut somewhat long. Outer shell repels rain. Interior is synthetic fabric. I would prefer a cotton liner, but cotton has lost it’s popularity in recent years. I’ll have to wear what is available now. Cotton is not as profitable for garment manufacturers. Cost makes the rule.
Your size makes no sense I don't know what an extra large is or a large doesn't fit me
I am 5'8 200 lb and this thing fit me like a sack , I think a large should have been sufficient in size beans I buy extra large shirts and extra large jackets all the time this product will be coming back again
Perfect for unexpected light showers, great protection from moderate winds.
Warm and water repellent as advertised. Fits as sized, spot on. Hood is tall enough to easily fit a hat underneath. Zipper is smooth with zero sticking points. Small pocket inside the right side pocket is great for keys as coins. Perfect for layering with other shirts under or vests and jackets over top.
Ordering my 2nd color after wearing the black for 3 + years. can wear this as a jacket when mild, or under a coat or raincoat in more severe weather. LOVE IT. it's MADE TO LAST and the lining is very breathable. thank you Carhartt
Stood up to the freezing rain we had the other day. Like water off of a duck's back! Very happy with this purchase, I just wish the soft lining was also in the sleeves. I'd wear this with a long sleeve in the winter. Just as good as a base layer winter coat.
bought the jacket in the fall of 2020as replacement for old hoodies. this is now my daily jacket. very durable and light. I work in 7 degree weather and I never get cold. very resistance to tears or stretching. Carhartt is very true to there quality and price is right.
My husband has been clearing some of our 4 acres which has gotten overgrown. He says he loves how warm and comfortable it is to wear. Getting on and off the tractor is not a problem like wearing a heavy coat. He has been telling everyone who works outside that this is what they need.
I received it 5 days before I was supposed to, so Thanks. It was everything I expected, great fit, actually warmer than any other coat I have. I liked the color. Just a very satisfying purchase. Always is.
Currently have only owned the sweatshirt for a few weeks so I am basing my Durability and Quality off of my past experience with Carhartt.
Appearance and comfort are lacking because the Sweatshirt just isn't cut long enough. Unfortunately wasn't able to test this as I had to buy online. I tried to find it in a Tall option but this didn't exist
Also overall very sad that Carhartt didn't respond to me. I reached out to customer service for some support and help finding something similar that would be size more appropriately but I am going on 30 days with no response.
My advice is if you know you might need a Tall size don't even chance it and order a Tall Size if one isn't available you might want to look elsewhere.
Would love to see an equivalent jacket for women. As an engineer who runs around factories, job sites, and manufacturing plants, I have a need for a jacket like this as I'm sure other women do as well. At the very least brand it towards women - it's not just men who work...
I wore this when outside @30 degrees with just a long sleeve shirt underneath. I was comfortable and warm! Short sleeve shirt on a 23 degree day and still warm! My only issue are that it is a bit large, but it is winter and I can add layers underneath. Buy with confidence.
Really not rain or water proof with a light drizzle
Not really water or rain proof, in the rain in west Texas the other day and my neck is getting wet with the hood up. Then my shoulders got wet a few minutes later. Not a heavy rain more of a light drizzle.
Bought two for my husband to replace the same zip-front sweatshirts he’s been wearing for several (I’m guessing 15-20) years. He’s not ready to turn loose of the originals because they’re still in great shape, but the new water repellant duo are his “go to” sweatshirts in inclement weather.
