This is just what he was looking for as far as style, hoodie, zipper, color, and quality. It's heavy duty that he can wear over a sweatshirt for layering. A little pricey, though, for a sweatshirt.

Good quality, very warm

I wore this when outside @30 degrees with just a long sleeve shirt underneath. I was comfortable and warm! Short sleeve shirt on a 23 degree day and still warm! My only issue are that it is a bit large, but it is winter and I can add layers underneath. Buy with confidence.

Don’t let other brands fool you Carhartt makes the best hoodie ever and it’s this one. Warm with inside zippered pocket.

Best all around coat ever. Very warm and comfortable. Easy to drive in but heavy enough for the cold and good wind resistance.

My husband likes his jacket for work except the zipper is very stiff and the jacket is longer then he would have liked which makes it difficult to ware his tool belt.

You sent a medium in a plastic bag labeled XL. I am not returning it because they run large and it is just barely large enough. I also do not want the time delay of returning it. You should send me a free XL or a T-shirt for my troubles but, you probably won't. The mistake is inexcusible for a product of good quality at this price. P.S. I do like your quality. My husband absolutely loves his Carhartt sweatshirt! Perfect for cold temps, but not too warm when it rises above 50. Rugged and durable, and will definitely be buying more! Also very true to size for those of you wondering if you should size up. No need to on this amazing cold-weather sweatshirt.

Warm enough to wear on it's own on milder days, but not so bulky that it can't be worn under a coat on frigid days. Like most Carhartt clothing, it does run a size larger, so get the smaller one.

My husband has one in black and loves it for it’s warmth. He got a fairly large stain on it working outside or in the garage that won’t come out. He has no idea what it was. So I bought him a new one in gray.

My son requested this for Christmas this year. The shipping was fast and I am hoping it fits correctly. This is his second one, so I am assuming it wears well and is warm. He loves them.

Great hoodie for several seasons, and different environments. At first, it seemed a little large, but after a few rounds in the washer and dryer, it fits perfect and didn’t fade color! Most hoodies shrink up real easy, but this one is perfect. Sleeves aren’t too short or too long, warm on those cool mornings and not too hot in the afternoon. Definitely my favorite zip-up hoodie!

This was the perfect Birthday gift for our son. His previous Carhartt served him well and this was on his wish list. He said the Rain Defender Rutland Thermal-Lined Hooded Zip-Front Sweatshirt was the best, only needed a tee shirt under the sweatshirt, and it kept him very warm and dry. The quality is superb and I would recommend this product.

1st jacket like it lasted 5 years and it's still holding up, but getting stained from the years of oil and grease. Bought a new one for work and keep wearing the old one for work at home. Durable and comfortable.

The material for this jacket is absolutely perfect. The inside is warm, but not too warm! Hands down my favorite jacket.

Runs a little big but I've had these before so I already knew that. These are really warm and comfortable. I had one that lasted about 12 years before the zipper finally broke so I came right back to buy another one.
