This men's shirt jac has all the makings of a classic. The durable flannel build is fleece-lined for warmth, and it packs enough flex to let you plow snow or split wood without a problem. This rugged layer comes equipped with two lined pockets on the sides plus a patch pocket and utility pocket on the chest. Features:
I love this jacket! Perfect weight and warmth for mild AZ Winters. I am a bigger guy and usually have problems with the wrist opening size on shirt jacs but Carhartt got it right! The aren't too tight or too loose.
I like how it looks and its what I thought it would be except medium in this garment didn't match what I wear in other Carhartt pieces. I'm 6'2 185lbs and have 34/35 sleeve length, 42 jacket chest. The arm length was a bit short for my liking. Its a snug fit not what I have experienced from Carhartt.
I purchased this shirt in bluestone from a carhartt store in Cherry Hill, NJ earlier this fall. I've been wearing it a ton and I've been digging it. However, my girlfriend purchased the same shirt in the same size in the new dark crimson colorway for me for Christmas, and it is a completely different fit. It fits almost a whole size smaller (~1.5 inches smaller in both shoulders and length). This makes me nervous since I've been wearing Carhartt flannel for like a decade and it's one of the only brands that fits me well and lasts. This is the first time out of many, many flannels that I own and I hope it's just a fluke. I'm going to go to the store and attempt to exchange it because doing it through the mail seems like a hassle for something that should've fit.
I love this shirt/jacket. Loved it so much that this purchase was the second one I got within a two week span. Went hiking in Big Bend National park and it was comfortable and warm. Thinking about getting a third one soon.
I bought this jacket for my boyfriend and he loves it. Works great for when it's too warm for a jacket and too cold for just a t shirt. It does run a little small so you might want to size up if you're in between sizes.
This flannel is great for cold weather, and also for lounging around in the house. It doesn't get too warm indoors, it's a happy medium. A little on the bulky side (for my taste), but I bought it for the functionality rather than the style.
I followed the instructions for measurements by answering the questions using another brand's garment for size comparison. The other brand's products tend to be slightly loose on me. This Carhartt garment was slightly snug. The sizing helper needs some help!
I assumed an overshirt would have a slightly loose fit.
I like the garment very much other than the slightly snug fit. Color and quality are good.
I LOVE it. The Only reason I didn't give it 5 Star's is the hand warmer pockets are not fleece lined like the inside... I would definitely recommend it. And will be purchasing another one. Most likely a heavyweight. Is there a rugged flex heavyweight?
Item arrived in a plastic Carhartt logo bag with no protection. It was wrinkled and appeared to be previously worn, maybe a prior return. Shirt was on the smallish side and the color did not match the picture. Much darker than expected. Was disappointed it was so light for a shirt jac. I had to return, but still a big fan of Carhartt. Thanks
I bought this jacket for my boyfriend as a gift due to the weather in ca. He loves it! It does not restrict his movement and I am going to be ordering him another one in a different color. He likes that is lightweight but warm and its lasted longer than most of the sweaters he buys for work. Great investment!
This fleece is definitely top quality! Of course it’s Carhartt, so that is expected, but it doesn’t take away from its functionality. It’s best used with some sort of thermal underneath or wool clothing, and it will be a great wind breaker. There’s plenty of pockets - inside and outside - for whatever the application demands.
I work as a wildland firefighter and during the end of the season we do fuels work in the forest. It gets cold out there and I hate wearing big puffy jackets. This was perfect, sizing was pretty true. I was worried when they said to go up a size if you're inbetween but I got a medium and it's the perfect fit. I feel like if I went bigger it would be too big. It was below freezing and I stayed pretty warm with this, an ice breaker base layer, and my thin fire button up shirt. An added bonus is that you look go doing the work! Seriously thinking about buying one for just around town!
Better than I expected. Perfect if you need a thin, but extremely warm coat that doesnt feel like its resticting your movement.
I bought it thinking it was just a button down shirt. Its even better. This is something I'll be able to use as a coat for most of the winter. Extremely warm and well made. But thin enough that it doesn't restrict me at all. Its perfect. The wife is already trying to steal it to take the dog out in cold mornings. The double breast pockets are perfect for my line of work because the left pock has extra spaces in front for pens which is important through my day. With the left pocket i can put a note pad, then in front of that i can put my pencil a pen and large marker.
